KR is done by Ironhide Studios and I don't think they have anything to do with Sonny 3.
Anyway, Ironhide forums say that release date is not confirmed, but I think some time ago they said that sequel is in alpha stage, so it is probably going to take several months.
The developers of KR2 haven't given a solid release date. They don't want to say it'll be ready in 2 months, and then after that it will take another 3. They did however say they will try to get released in 2012.
