2023. Science went too far. The best scientists in the world came together under the common goal of making the perfect soldier. One that wouldn't feel pain, would never let feelings get in the way, and would never lose the will to fight. And they kind of succeeded. However, these new soldiers lost all sense, and only knew aggresion and survival. They killed every human they saw, and within a year after their drugs got out, the infection had spread all over the world, and nearly everyone was either dead or infected by 2025. Now you have only one goal in mind as one of the few remaining sane people on Earth: to survive.

Stealth: (This greatly affects how easily you can avoid zombies and survivors. You will be able to move more quietly and stealthily and therefore be able to avoid combat more often and find stuff more frequently.)
Intelligence: (This affects how well you can use advanced equipment such as computers, security systems, and vehicles, and you are able to spot weaknesses and tactical opportunities better, along with gaining skill in lock-picking, hot-wiring, etc.)
Charisma: (This affects how well you can interact with other survivors. Raise it high enough and they might give you some free equipment and help, and will also become less likely to try and stab you in the back while you sleep.)
Accuracy: (This affects how well you can aim ranged and thrown weapons, and you are able to throw things farther and more precisely.)
Perception: (Affects how much you can see at a glance, you'll find more stuff when exploring/scavenging, and all you're senses are sharpened so you can sense survivors/zombies/equipment/etc. better.)
Luck: (Affects all stats slightly, zombies are less likely to detect you, you are more likely to scavenge better stuff, etc.)

Classes:
Scavenger: +4 Perception, +4 Stealth, +2 Strength. As a scavenger you will find more stuff while scavenging, and are able to move faster and more stealthily.
Hunter: +4 Accuracy, +4 Strength, +2 Charisma. Hunters are fully trained to track and kill zombies, they are the strongest of the classes and can many times be used to defend others and keep themselves from zombies.
Recon: +4 Stealth, +3 Perception, +3 Intelligence. Recons work best as scouts. They are able to find useful stuff and avoid zombies more easily than others, but aren't too strong in combat.
Sniper: +4 Accuracy, +3 Intelligence, +2 Strength, +1 Charisma. Snipers are the best gunners of all the classes, and are best with ranged weapons. They often times can be used to pick off zombies before they get too close, and are great at combat.
Commander: +4 Intelligence, +4 Charisma, +2 Perception. Commanders are the leaders of the survivors, they are most influential to others and are very good at using their environment for their own good.

I will respond again in 5 hours, and start a game with whoever has joined by then. After that, anyone else can join but they will not have the benefit of starting with other survivors.

In the "Notes" folder, you find some miscellaneous to-do lists, "Don't forget"s, etc. However, you do also find the code to the case, along with some notes marked "IMPORTANT - TO ALL SURVIVORS" You open it, and it reads:

To whoever reads this, do NOT go to the second floor. I don't even know if the first floor is safe; if you want to live through this f***ing nightmare, I suggest you get out. Some of the worse of patients upstairs have been treated with some new medical stuff. But now...now they're too dangerous to get close to. I'm gonna die soon anyway, but you need toem cgyaoo br g97

You read through this and then move on to the "Observations" folder, though the only things there are reports on the different patients, and some comments on some of the new medical procedures being used in the hospital. As for the technical data, there is nothing in there but some serial codes, storage supply tallies, and some building blueprints. Now what?

Angela sets a turkey sandwich on the ground, then backs away and moves towards another office, afraid that if she runs or acts like scared prey, this thing will give chase out of instinct. If it does, she's going to duck into the nearest adjacent room and try to put something solid between her and it, and use the pistol to defend herself, staying as mobile as she can so the thing doesn't get a grip or close enough to use those claws. If it doesn't, she's going to add an alternative exit route to her list of search items, hoping to avoid having to tempt this thing again.

She doesn't prefer this, but she figured short hair is better for survival. She doesn't get along very well with people who try to control her actions and give her orders without something that could benefit herself in the end. In short, she is more of a lone wolf. She prefers a group of two survivors instead of any more than that -- she believes too many survivors in one group can get too confusing and too hard to keep track of everyone.
Personality: Tracie likes to avoid contact with everyone, even welcoming survivors. She likes to use items that she finds for her advantage and to create make-shift items to benefit her; she is very innovative. She really only wants to rely on herself in the long run. Trading with survivors is the only acceptable course of action for Tracie. Grouping up is not really in her nature.

However, as you go into the office, as soon as you turn from the doorway the door you closed opens again, and once again the thing has found you, this time blocking the doorway, staying still and staring at you. I randomly choose to walk along one of the pathways, and see where it takes me. I try my best to see further into the darkness, but not too hard as to strain my eyes. I listen closely to the slightest noise, like footsteps, moans, or gunshots. I try to block out the wind and the rustling of the leaves as I walk along the path walk so I would be the first to know if something was near.

Bio: Elisa was born in the USA and did very good in school. Despite being what most people called a geek, Elisa had a good sized group of friends. These friends are the ones who call her Storm due to her white hair and slightly tanned skin reminding them of the character from X-Men that had the same codename. In 2019 Elisa graduated from collage with the classes to become an archeologist or a paleontologist. She now uses her skills to find what her friends and her need to survive.

Bio: Born in the rural countryside of Michigan, this 5 foot 2, 25 year-old crimson haired firebrand had always dreamed of taking center stage with the New York Ballet. Instead should ended up dancing on tables and in cages at a variety of night clubs always hoping that someone would take notice of her talents, rather than trying to shove currency into her undergarments. In a way, the end of the world was a release for her. Sure everyone was trying to eat her, beat her, or do other unsavory things for her, but at least she wasn't dancing for tips anymore.
Personality: Typically stubborn and temperamental (to be expected given her Irish roots). Angela means well most of the time, but tends to be very blunt. Several tramatizing encounters with other survivors have left her a bit suspicious, and she does not like being casually touched.

Still moving very calmly, and nonchalantly trying to widen the distance between us while keeping something between us if possible, continue searching the room half heartedly, while using a calm an steady voice to engage it. Say "hello" and ask it what it needs, if it's lost, if it's seen anyone or anything else around. If it attacks, keep moving around the desks or whatever while firing. If it responds to my questions, listen or watch intently. If it does nothing but stand there, first check to see if there's a way out through the window, then maybe a way to leave the room through the ventilation or drop ceiling. If there isn't, very calmly try to walk past it.

Bio: Lillou was a scientist. She did not work on the "EDEN" program but she was really interested in the human improvement topic. Its main research was about automated plants and robotics.
