Hunt!

Introduction
Welcome to the Lodge, where all kinds of hunters come together to drink, sleep and meet. Ranging from a tribesman with a spear to a trigger happy soldier, we either hunt- You're confused you say? I'll explain then, the Lodge is not only a place, but a mysterious organisation of time travelers that keeps order and peace in all time eras. In rare occasions, hunters from magical dimensions visit us and share objects of... peculiar like. The era you are from, or dimension, affects your skill on a particular weapons. For example, if you were in the Prehistoric Age, you would have an extremely hard time to handle a gun. Even though a Modern Age hunter knows the basics of handling a spear, tribesmen will still have an edge for having ancient and forgotten techniques to use. We hunt mammoths, to deer, to terrorists, to magical monsters. This is the Lodge, and you are a part of it.

Nerdsoft. You've done this in other forum games. You CANT decide what happens. You can only post CAUSES: your actions and ATTEMPTS. Do not assume you will always succeed at what you do.

Now, let me fix your post.

I look around to see if there are any contract masters, before I realise I don't know what they look like. Still, I notice a chap staring at me and ask him if I can help him. He tells me he's a contract master. "Well then," I say. "What do I hunt first?"

Your first sentence is okay because it's believable: You don't know what contract masters look like. Then it gets screwy. How about this?

I look around to see if there are any contract masters, before I realise I don't know what they look like. I then ask around for a contract master, and should I find one, say to them "Hello, i'm new to this place, what is it?

Note that in the second sentence, the word SHOULD. "Should" allows for failure because you are not guaranteed to succeed with your action. Without should, your second sentence would be an EFFECT sentence: And EFFECTS are not in your jurisdiction, they are left up to the host. When posting, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS include words like "Try" or "Attempt to" when you want to do something. YOU ONLY CONTROL YOUR END OF THE STORY. YOU ONLY CONTROL YOURSELF AND ONLY THE NPCS THAT THE HOST SPECIFICALLY STATES YOU CAN ORDER AROUND.

Now, in other games you would deliberately include details about yourself that the Host did not include, such as being handcuffed. IF THE HOST DOES NOT SPEFICICALLY INCLUDE A DETAIL IN THEIR RESPONSE, IT. DOES. NOT. EXIST. If the Host tells you that you are handcuffed, you are handcuffed. if he tells you that you are NOT handcuffed, you are NOT. To be safe, if the host mentions nothing at all about being handcuffed, you are NOT. That applies for everything else too!

Now, Nerdsoft. This type of forum game is not a SOLO. You are not both host and character. You are a character, so STOP CONTROLLING THE STORY BY YOURSELF OR I WILL CLEAVE YOU IN TWAIN.

On the other hand, I see your charcter's a robot. Nice pun with "404" as a gender. Very funny.

If there are any bandits in a group then I will use Arrow shower on them. If not then I will shoot at the nearest one. Unless the nearest one is close enough for me to use my daggers. If that is so the I will deal with that one before I shoot any arrows.
