I made Chibi Knight 1, and have been chipping away at the sequel for a while. I'm finally kicking things into gear to finish it off, and I need your help and support to make the final push!

Check out some behind the scenes screenshots here:

Here's the story I've written up so far. This is the first time it's been posted publically!

===============
Every hero faces 2 paths...his choices decide his fate.

After Monocchio's defeat, his spirit and all-seeing eye were banished to the dark realm forever.
Or so the inhabitants of Oukoku thought...

3 years after his defeat, Monocchio's remaining minions began a ploy to summon their master back to the light realm. Two groups rose up to prevent the return of Monocchio.

The Sorcery Clan from the island of Mahou pooled their formidable collection of magic spells and pushed the uprising to the brink of defeat, but at the final moment General Tso reached into the fiery dark realm and unleashed a spell so black it incinerated the eyes of every sorcerer in Oukoku. While the knowledge of Mahoun magic remains in their minds, the sorcerers are unable to execute the intricate eye movements necessary to use their magic. Rumors have since begun to circulate about a youth who will redeem Mahoun magic by learning their most potent spells and defeating General Tso.

After General Tso's victory, Oukoku mourned the loss of its sorcerers. The Beastmasters, long hidden in the Yajuu mountains, broke their 100 year separation from Oukoku and mounted their own attack on General Tso. Using their close connection with animal life, they fiercly dominated Tso's armies and let their beasts feast on the battle remains. In a dastardly move, General Tso poisoned the Yajuu beasts' food supply, thus eliminating decades of specialized training and defeating the Beastmasters' gambit. In shame, they retreated back into the Yajuu mountains with their proverbial tails between their legs. Shortly thereafter, the Yajuu Seers predicted that only one who could master the ways of the Beastmasters and summon the mysterious "Hebi" beast could defeat general Tso.

General Tso, hidden near the Kazangan volcano range, now seeks to complete his plan to bring about the return of the evil Monocchio.
==================

Basically, I want to make the player decide between specializing as a magician or as a beastmaster. Which is an un-revoke-able decision and seriously affects the way the rest of the game plays out.

Ask me anything you like about the game and I'll try to reply in a reasonable amount of time.

after my last post I visited the steam site. This presented another unforseen problem I missed before. I feel kind of bad, pointing out the game's faults before it's even released, but as a big fan, and as a human, I seek reassurance that I will be able to play. I've kind of been beating around the bush, so I'll just ask it. Will the game be offered on Linux? It's all I have.

It's targeted at PC, Mac, and Linux now. Releasing on Steam makes sure this is a full-sized "real" game sequel and hopefully allows me to keep making more games because of the income. 3-5 bucks shouldn't put this out of reach of anyone who's really interested in playing Super Chibi Knight.

Thank you for your reassurance and flexibility. It is a rare treat to see a downloadable game available for linux.

I personally hate steam, I would still buy it but I would prefer a DRM free download comparable to minecraft. Would you be willing to do that?

I'll probably offer some way to buy direct also at some point, but the steam download would be DRM free too.

If you continue the Series, will you make it for example that if you finished Chibi Knight 2 you get something to help you start off in Chibi Knight 3? or will the only thing that is linked between games the story?

Also, when do you hope to release it

The game is about 1/2 way done right now.

I hadn't planned on tying the games together with more than just the story, but I'll consider it!

I hope to release it soonish, this year maybe, hopefully Steam greenlights it in the next couple months!

Please make it , just don't make it complicated and hard , the Chibi Knight isn't challenging , so I don't want Chibi Knight 2 to be challenging

It will be easy enough to pick up and play, but have enough content to keep you satisfied and offer a challenge.

From what I saw of the game, it's a slight improvement from chibi knight, but I fear that it will last as long as the first game, which isn't very much. If it isn't too much to ask, more stages, enemies, etc just to make the most out of it. After all, it's a waste of a good game to end so quickly.

I loved the first Chibi Knight. Now there is a second. Are you gonna do a third? PLEASE do. And also make 3 classes for the third: Warrior, Mage, and Rouge (or Assasin)
