I thought it might be helpful for everyone to know who to turn to when they need help in the community. Questions can normally be answered through the Help page, so if you have a general site question, please make sure to look there first.
The Moderators on Armor Games make sure that users are following the Rules and Regulations, and help enforce these rules. You may see them around the site, answering users questions and taking care of SPAM. Moderator comments show up in blue in the forums, so it is easier to tell when a moderator is responding on a topic.
I have been here long enough to comfortably say that DragonLady is right, people in mind to be mods and people suggested by other people do tend to be different.
It is a necesity that mods are helpful people and know their way around the site, but it takes more than knowing rules, being helpful, and being mature.
To be a mod, you would have to know how to solve problems and know how to answer people's questions, questions and problems that arn't about the general rules and general problems.
They must know how to tackle each problem quickly, responsably, and silently.
Of course, once again... I am making an educated guess. I have noticed that most of the people who became mods, were not the most popular users. For some reason it seems that the more popular users gain most of the "you should be a mod" compliments, mainly because they have a lot of points and every time they do help out (no matter how rare), it is noticed by people following there posting trail... but now I am getting ahead of myself.
Simply pute, all the people who became mods that I have seen, were never the 1st on everyone else's list to become mods.
We have many wheels here... one such is the Wheel of Moderators and another, lesser known one is the Wheel of When? We spin it weekly, in our undisclosed location, and it has such things on it as Today! and Next Month! and the like... Anyway, since there was a holiday, our schedule is backed up, so we have to spin the mini-wheel to decide when we are going to meet up...
I would like to be aded to the list of moderation team because i feel like i could do a very good job as have the other moderation team. Because ever since i have been on here i have never seen abuse

Correct, seeing as one who is more suitable to being a moderator is one who would make a good moderator 'in their own right' as opposed to one who works towards being a moderator.
With such a goal, the attainment of moderator powers is the incentive; thereafter effectiveness is highly questionable. The most secure moderators are those who are the least likely to change their behavior regardless of whether they're a moderator or not.
Example: have you seen my behavior changing since I was made a moderator? Except for the fact that I can now help clean up the forums instead of pointing issues out to others now and then...
So it really is true: virtue is its own reward, and its own reward only.
