I decided to do one of these, just because I have some ideas that don't fit in with any of the armatar contests. No gratuitous praise, please.

I really like the road sign with the blood spattered on it. I would be interested in seeing something similar with one of the characters from the game, such as the jester, in the form of a road sign.

I don't know how I could go about doing that in two tones. If you want a jester sign, I could do this:

That's a great sign. You should show it to @CourtJester.
I like the blood! ha ha ha
Okay, so I just remembered this exists, and I have a few more things.
Here's the jester sign again, now with 70% more jester:

Looks aweseme @FishPreferred!
But ahmmm... what contest was that? The Animals one?
Yes. I started with a screencap of the model image and used the "paint brush" artistic effect in MS Word to separate the colours into simpler patches (shown at right). I've been building little pieces onto that ever since.
And I just noticed that I overlooked something.
Are there any contests in the near future that this might fit into, @MrDayCee?
Sorry for the late reply @FishPreferred! Cleaning up my inbox just now...
Uhmm... it fits perfectly in the "Animals" edition, but I don't know if that one will return this year though. Maybe the "Spring" edition? Bears catch the salmon in the springtime... right?

Remember that Gemcraft gem drawing contest? No? It was that contest for drawing Gemcraft gems for Gemcraft Steam keys for Steam? That. I wanted to demonstrate how my entry was made without any advanced graphic software (ImageJ, which I relied upon most, is an image processor designed for scientific analysis). And because I want to get rid of all the saves I made, here it is:
1 WORD/PAINT: I started by making the basic level 4 gem shape from solid-colour shape art, then used the Glow Diffused artistic effect to get this.
2 IMAGEJ: Used the Find Edges process (which inverts the line colour for some reason).
3 IMAGEJ/PAINT: Added bright and dark patches to simulate surface reflections.
4 WORD: Used the Plastic Wrap artistic effect on stage 2, adding some shine that will scarcely be noticeable later on.
5 IMAGEJ: Combined 3 and 4 using the Max and Blend paste options, and combined those because one was too bright and the other was too dim. I also removed the brightest parts using Threshold Color, giving it a slightly rough look.
6 IMAGEJ: I overlay (overlaid?) 5 with some offset bits to simulate internal reflections, then combined with 5 a few times to make them more subtle.
7 IMAGEJ: Combined 6 with another copy of 4 to bring back the halo effect, resulting in the finished product.
