It's boring at the end. Basically the startup is too involved.
For new players, work on your arrows while working on getting new types of monsters. I'd also suggest every so often increasing your starting mana. You really don't need to add points to exp per kill if you keep upgrading your arrows.
On all but the final level you can defend against everything by spamming fully upgraded arrows. That's why this game is so meh. It's like you have the best defense available and nowhere to go offensively, not to mention the insanely slow movement speed of all creatures. And on every level you have only the same enemy horde which makes your eyes scream from the blandness (until you get the archangel which is fun to watch but still a really slow walker).
