First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).

Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.

OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

Just a note: If you wondered why you didn't get mentioned or you would just like feedback on your poem, let me know on my comments and I will be sure to give you detailed feedback back on your comments page. I stand by my decisions though, because I read carefully, and trust me, this one was a real toughie to judge.

Such relate
men who hate.
Consisting of dreams.
They arrived late
or so it seems,
for their lunar date.

The light shone on
these people in awe.
Their world is gone.
The light of night
shows corruption of law,
so starts the fight.

Night brings beasts.
A sciera in the skies,
protects you from feasts!
Your hopes are lies.

Moon shows verity.
Sun shows bliss.
Moon's a charity.
Sun's a kiss.

In the end,
what had mattered?
Did fate intend
for me to be shattered?

And so...
Every night
I experience plight
as the moon shows light
on my pitiful life.

Intelligence brings sadness.
Ignorance brings glee.
So what advice
do I give unto thee?

Enjoy what you can.
Along comes a difference
and you would have ran.
Don't forget the epiphanous!

Now I rest.
Inferably lest,
the moon should shine
and render me.... unblind....

i'm not good with titles

The light moon dances along the sky,
the dark moon glances though the deep pool.
The stars as its background; a shimmering lie,
a man looks up to grab it, the one that is the fool.

A reflective God showing its power,
the sun hides away fueling its foe.
The moon begins to fall, we begin to cower,
slowing moving closer it's an intimidating glow.

Sorry it's abit shorter this week.... kinda busy

All are fascinated by the moon
Some try to catch it with a harpoon
But every single person fails
So the moon can freely set sail

You can try again and again
But you will never leave the terrain
Unfortunately the moon is overhigh
The only thing you can do is inveigh

The Man in the Sky

For ages on end, I've looked up at night
To spy what the eye could spy,
And how lovely it is to imagine the sight
Just to visit the man in the sky.

As the truth be revealed, this man is not small;
He is actually bigger than I,
But alas, the illusion is actually nothing at all;
He is quite a large man in the sky.

He sleeps in the daylight and wakes in the eve
As in light he can't open his eye,
How I want to reach up with my hand and retrieve
The little round man in the sky.

But his distance is great and the trip would take years
And I know I will probably die,
Though a great evil thing, it's not death that I fear;
It's neglecting the man in the sky.

While whipping white whispering winds flow west
I dream only that I can fly,
If the wind carried me I would try all my best
To shake hands with the man in the sky.

An impossible state of unhappiness starts
And as time isn't far going by,
'Cause I know that my days left are just numbered charts
Though is not true with he in the sky.

A silvery, glisteny man, oh he be!
And this quite far from a lie!
Though it isn't quite clear why the man watches me
Like a man who's afraid of the sky.

Oh I wish I could jump up and grab that old man,
Just to show him around the dry
Earth that is, there is no way I possibly can;
I'm a ground man and he's in the sky.

The road to unhappiness isn't too steep
And I know that I'll probably cry,
'Cause I know I will never be able to meet
With the little round man in the sky.

Luna

THE MOON
Eternally
Inspires poetry
the source of reflected sun
when light there is none
or inspiring insanity
a lunatic's necessity
Produces love
a finite fling in the back of a car
ill-gotten romance beneath the stars
or perhaps, new beginnings, new life
a new child on earth marks a husband and wife
MY LUNA
Temporarily
Her beauty streaming
her soft pale face
eyes always so distant
Cold
my love couldn't warm her
for i had no courage, was too far away
she has eclipsed forever
it was of her own doing
because no one warmed her
THERE IS NOW NO NEW MOON
FOR THE LUNATIC

Power Hungery Moon

She controles the tides
she inspiers us to write stories and poems
and we tell time by her
but she wants so much more

She has been made into a goddess by some religions
and she gets jealous of the sun
cause he seams to have so much more

So an eclips happens
and we write stories about the jealousy that caused it

The Moon

The relic shining in the sky,
Its always there i dont know why
we hope it takes us somewhere good.
The moon is the hopefull mood

When we see its gona away,
we know its time for another day
It apears again amongst the night,
The moon is always shining bright

so when you feel alone inside,
look to the sky with gleeful pride
and there youll see the smiling face,
Looking down on the human race

This could be better but i hope i win

The Moon in the Midnight Battle

It all is black,
all is empty,
the topless sky
launches an aerial attack.

Suddenly it appears,
the shining disk,
a blank-lit lamp
in the midnight wars.

Pierced by bullets,
pierced by shouts,
it sees the horror
of the men being flanked.

Suddenly it rises,
it darts in the sky,
The Moon flies
into the helicopter advance.

So will you go,
will you fall,
will you go down the deepless space,
looking how the men fall.

But they fall in honor,
they fall in pride,
they fall in greatness,
they fall with their flag.

Then it is over,
the sun rises East,
the battle is won,
they feel defeat.

But the Sun does not shine,
it feels bad,
at least all our effort
worrked as the plan.

The Sun Shines bloody red,
very badit looks,
but even tough we won,
we also lost.

Took me 30 seconds.

The Moon

the man in the moon
I can see you at noon
through glossy eyes

despite your size
you still rise
waning
waxing
half
full
new
please keep my soul true

I must say goodbye
one day I will fly
to your beautiful shine
and make you mine
Goodnight, moon.

Two Sided Moon

A two faced sphere slips through the sky;
Never showing its far side.

In one face a man is seen;
Smiling, frowning, kind, or mean.

The rhythmic force that pulls the tide;
Comes from this sphere of the night.

Sending the oceans high and low;
Not caring where the waters go.

For this sphere acts with great defiance;
Never staying in alliance.
