It's that time again! Spring is a great season full of inspiration, which we are hoping will help you make some great armatars. Now I know that it isn't spring everywhere right now, but it is for the AG office. So how this works is that you can submit your own original armatars to this thread following the theme of Spring. If I like it, I will add it to the 0AP armatar section for all members to use! You can reference previous contests for a better idea of what this is all about here.
Keep in mind that there are some guidelines, and unless your entry follows these set of rules it will not be accepted. So be sure to check those out.
GUIDELINES: 1. Must be appropriate. Cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Try to keep it clean! 2. The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension. 3. Must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to armatar size. A few suggestions about this: - Sometimes simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So just keep in mind what the final size will be. - If you are able to do vector, that can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this probably isn't a big issue. 4. Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other piece of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% original. 5. Must be spring themed.
Good luck! And I look forward to seeing some awesome spring armatars =)
Wow, I'm smart, huh? So, I have another question. :/ I have an idea for this, but I don't know where to make the picture, how to get a url for it, and how to make it 100x100. I'm sorry, I've never participated in something like this. I want to, though.
I use Adobe photoshop. you can use the trial version for a month or buy it for around $700.
You could also use Microsoft paint if you have a pc. To make the size of the image 100x100 pix, adjust it by selecting Image>attributes and setting the height and width as 100 by 100 pixels. After you save your image, you can use a basic imagehost site like [url=http://www.imagehost.us] or [url=http://www.photobucket.com]

So in other words your a complete noob at this OK...
You can make the art using one of tons of programs including MS Paint which comes with all windows Operating Systems, but a good one would be GIMP or Paint.net( a couple others are corel paint shop pro, and PhotoShop, but PhotoShop costs a good amount of money), all depending on what you are looking for and which program you find to be easy to use. Here are a few links.
Now then as for where to get the URL, when you save your image that you made, you need to put it on a free image hosting site. From here you need to grab up the direct URL of the image(which the URL should end with a image format, such as .png or .jpg at the end of it depending on what format you saved the image as) Here is a link to one popular and reliable free image hosting site called Photo bucket.

As for your last question, when you open up a new image document I know GIMP allows you to set the parameters, but if you have issues with any of this, just contact me on my profile, or use the tutorials thread in this forum section.
gah ninja'd by Magix. Well Dragonball05 its quite simple, save the file, then go to your album on photobucket(by clicking on your name from the home page where it says welcome, insertnamehere) then from there it should allow you to upload images from your computer. It is fairly self explanatory though.

Ok, thanks. I'll begin working on it when I have a chance.
