OK guys so I was inspired by the Rice Rap thread to start this contest. I don't know if it's been done before but since it doesn't seem to be active, here's a new one. There is no prize yet, as I just randomly started it.
Theme: Rice.
BTW, the rhyme scheme can be whatever you want it to be, as long as it's in a way that someone can rap it. Good luck. Deadline=Next Sunday at 1:00 PM AG time.

A pot is so versatile in rice-cooking it's crazy. Anything from gohan to okayu. Don't be lazy! No my name's not Tomohiro though in Nihon it is. Regardless of my name I'm a rice-cooking whiz. One cup is for gohan and two cups' for mush. Three cups or four for unpalatable slush. Five cups for congee but I call it jook. To go into it further I'd have to write a book. But this only works for jasmine rice and basmati not Japanese rices like akita kamachi. Leave rice in a pot half an hour per cup and the bubbling water will fluff the stuff up. Give it extra time and it will taste baked. Let it sit longer and the rice will be caked with a browned crunchy layer that kids love to eat off the bottom of the pot. It's a real treat. Chill steamed rice in a bowl on a cool counter top to get ready to fry the world's greatest crop. Soy sauce is for amateurs never for the pro. If you're really serious then salt's the way to go. You don't need a wok, just fry it in the pot. No need to spend money on something for naught. Congee is light but thicker than soup. You can't mess it up cause it's all ricey goop. Five cups for thick and ten gets it thin, which if you don't eat warm may develop a skin. If you didn't get all that then here's a recap: It's not for sushi rice. And that's a wrap.

Well that explains it! I thought that it was obvious from the rest of the verse that by "ot" I actually meant "automatic rice cooker", despite the fact that yes, I know you can cook rice in a pot, yes, I have eaten a variety of styles of rice from said pot (browned = win) and, yes, I have cooked rice in a pot as well as the automatic rice cooker.
...also yes, I know that water-to-rice ratio still matters when using an automatic rice cooker. But no, I don't consider myself a rice expert, hence the approximately appropriate fluffiness satisfies my daily dinner needs.

Considered this. As far as I remember most of the references you have made that I recognised are either Chinese or Japanese (you're doing that on purpose now, aren't you), so when I said "I knew it", I actually meant "I'm going to guess that..."
Quick question to all the mods: Who do I have to argue with to get a merit as a prize for the winner for this contest? You guys? If it is you guys, then I think we should have a merit prize. Just saying.

No merits until it is proven sustainable.
No merits until judging is proven to be fair and consistent.
I'm not for merits for contests that aren't rigorously judged and since I know almost next to nothing about rap, I can't say anything either way about it.
