Does anyone like the new design of the of the 2010 penny, the only thing that changed was the back. The front still looks the same.

That's lame. A shield? I like the old pennies.

Good thing they'll still be in circulation for another thirty years or so. xD

The penny did need a new picture. I like it. But I've only came across a few of those.

Hmm...interesting. Though I wonder why they even bothered. I mean, it's a once cent coin, no-one cares what they look like.

1337, it's hardly surprising. Thinking about the number of pennies in circulation at this time and the number of the new pennies that have been minted - only a few out of hundreds will be the new ones. hopefully over time, as the older coins go out of circulation, these ones will be increasingly common.

Yes but I rarely get change. And I never come across a lot of coins during my life.

That's gay that for the united states of America, the words on the shield aren't in English. They're too worried about being politically correct. Pretty lame

Yeah.

"E pluribus unum" is the motto of the Great Seal of the United States. What does that have to do with PC? Aren't you accustomed to Latin mottos?

*looks at a penny* oh, my mistake, I never noticed that. Probably because of the teeny tiny sized print of it. This is much more advertised and larger.

I thought they were discontinuing the penny due to it costing more to make than what it is worth?

By discontinuing i mean not creating any new ones..

It's Latin, it means one out of many or something like that. It's been on all the pennies and it's because all the colonies came together and formed one nation.

I like it. Abraham Lincoln symbolized the same thing that this does, equality for all. Equal protection, I guess.
