As you know things have been going for muslims for last decade. All the discrimination and hatred they have been facing.
Led to the rise of the term Islamophobia.
What r ur thoughts on it.

I think these are the two main reasons:
- the greed for oil of the western world
- the stupidity of some Islamic people who hate America with all their heart, consider heroes the terrorists that kill thousands of innocent western civilians, and like to daydream about nuking america and killing five millions of people in the blast.

Neither of these reasons are enough to justify violence of any kind. So, as an Italian citizen, I would really like my country to leave NATO.

They don't hate america without a reason.
If my family dies in an american drone strike (Just for being suspected as a terrorist) what will i think of america?
And that post on other thread was about a war scenario capiche?

If someone's family dies in a Islamic suicide attack (Just for being in america at that time) what will he think of Islam?

You have to forget the war and forgive each other. It is the only way.

Well yes...now also consider the thousands, no millions of ''Patriotic'' Americans who fully supported the War on Terror that Bush spun out of proportion.

They don't hate america without a reason.

One must also not forget the innocents that have died in such strikes. Ever wondered why the terrorists seem to have a never ending supply of recruits? Yeah.

Majority of muslims are against sucide bombing and killing of civilians unlike americans who always support their army whether it do right or wrong

Do not generalize or I will pull out all the plugs. Yes, the majority of Muslims are peaceful and against such acts of terror, but the majority of Americans today are sickened by the near decade of war they have had.

Pretty much what nichodemus said, but there is also still the problem with the thousands that do and are very enthusiastic about it..

Which are sadly the small small minority that most of the world sees. It works for all other cases; A case of a priest engaging in paedophilia appears and suddenly the Church is associated with Child Abuse. Black sheeps are a pertinent bane.

What is annoying is that when one person of a group does something bad people judge the entire group. That is what the muslim terorists made other muslims look like.

that, my friend, is called stereotypical basis. for example, we hate muslims because they might all of a sudden blow up on you. same time, muslims hate the western world because they are intolerant, and war mongering.

the truth is that the statistics for suicide bombers is less than 1% of the entire muslim culture. the ammount of idiot americans (see above description) is also less than 1%.

the saying "one bad apple spoils the whole bunch" comes to mind.

neither side has any real reason to fear eachother. it's just things like the media and goverment who blow everything out of proportion (if you are in the middle east, don't you dare say al-jizeera doesn't do that).

this is how the world works and how every race suffers.

one of my family members can go to an arab country and get murdered because he is jewish. how would i feel about muslims?

ill tell you now. i wouldnt feel anything. why? because i can judge people as individuals but im mature enough to understand that a religion has nothing to do with someones actions.

even if that religion SAYS to kill someone, as long as there is one person who has control and doesnt do that there is no way to judge the people of that religion. i can hate the religion but not its people. and there are always exceptions so there HAS to be at least one person who is diffirent.

unfortunately, most people arent that mature and just give up to hatred and racism. if you understand that personality comes first in humans and only then come the things like: religion, race etc. then you can understand that better.

i cant blame people for hating a group of people, but they will gain no respect from me. can you blame someone for hating you if you already hate them? on the other side hating someone because he hates you is stupid as well.

if you break that cycle its easier to understand. even if you wont stop anyone from hating you, they will lose all interest in you since they see it leads to nothing.

I do not think that there would be a possible phobia to a race. Really?

and here is where you go wrong.
it was not the islam that did the attack.
if so then we can say that christianity killedthe people in norway. because the guy felt himself like a crusade.

the majority of Americans today are sickened by the near decade of war they have had.

(don't forget the other 65 year in wich youve been in war many times)

it's not what we get to see on the news. what we ALWAYS see is americans cheering for their army and all the acts they do and seeing evry single mission as a "heroic deed"

I do not think that there would be a possible phobia to a race.

it's not a race, it's a religion. the only religion wich is also a race is jewish i believe.
and people can be scared of the wierdest things. whit 10 years of anti-islam propaganda in some places of the world, i wouldn't be surprised if some people are actualy scared when the word is mentioned.

it's called &quotropaganda" devil. it's what both the goverment and the media use to sway peoples opinions. whether for nationalist beliefs like hitler, or intolerable ones like america's famous slogan "better dead than red".

it's not a race, it's a religion. the only religion wich is also a race is jewish i believe.

only those with no intellect will actually be swayed so easily. if you are so intelligent, you wouldn't be swayed by the propaganda that is being shoved down your throat about americans.

now I have to ask, are you that intelligent?
