Because there are too many pages of spam to wade through. I'm slowly deleting what I can, but any question threads will be lost.

It depends on how frequently this thread is used to ask questions. Also, the thread can be locked and unstickied when it is no longer necessary.

The captcha thing is also a nice touch.

The captcha thing seemed to attract more spam than before. Every "latest post" is a stupid little live stream of something. Plus, the captcha is inconvenient for regular users. If you get it wrong, you have to rewrite your whole dang post again.

Really? (Not trying to start an argument) Didn't think that would happen.

I always copy my post and refresh the page normally to make sure I'm not being ninja'd so I don't know the feeling.

Not everybody does that, though.

Wasn't supposed to, but that's what it seems like is happening.

I am amazed at how many pages of ad-bot spam are gone. Yes, more keep coming in but not nearly as many as last Sunday when I started flagging. It took a lot of us flagging these intruders to help the elimination process. iow it took a team effort. I'm also noticing the speed at which these bot-spams disappear once they pop up.
