It is tastier and healthier, as well as spicy. In America, you have to go out of your way to make something truly spicy, while in China if you don't like spicy, you'll have to pick the stuff out if don't you want it.
Technically, it's only certain regions where it's mostly spicy.
Dong tian, nan xian, xi suan, bei la East is sweet, South is salty, West is sour, North is spicy.
I don't know much about Chinese life or modern culture (I do know about history, but that's because I had to study it...). Most Eastern Asian culture I see is from Japan (movies, food, music...). You guys should try opening your culture to the rest of the world. After all, it's with culture that you become the stronger country. Just look at the US, everyone knows about 4th of July even if they don't live there.

As in, Siberia is part of Russia, not China.
