I would have to say Joe Perry from Aerosmith! As the guitar riff in Walk This Way feat Run DMC made me want to learn how to play the electric guitar. And Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood as well!

Angus Young is a good guitarist in his own right, but he can't compare to the likes of Hendrix and Clapton. Carlos Santana is great for his style of music. Also, Jeff Beck is a great guitarist.

B.B. King is not the best blues guitarist. He is arguably the best blues artist, and he has a very recognizable style of playing, but he is far from the best. My favorite is Derek Trucks. His guitar is just as recognizable as B.B. King, if not more, he fits the blues genre very well, and he can play super impressive licks without having to play at lightning speed. I would also mention Sonny Landreth because he has a lot more technical skill than Derek Trucks, and he does a **** ton of crazy **** on stage, but he doesn't fit the blues genre as well as Derek Trucks, and derek trucks puts so much soul in his playing, it's like he's crying out of his guitar.
Also, if you think that playing at lightning speeds constitutes the best guitarist, you guys should listen to some bluegrass pickers before you say that your favorite heavy metal guitarist is the best.
