I used to be a huge fan of the CoD series when they were coming out with games like modern warfare one and two. Then after Black Ops the whole series, in my opinion, went completely went downhill.
They haven't been going downhill, darling, they've just completely stagnated!
As average game quality increases over time, games that were impressive five years ago might not be able to hold up to the standard in quality the modern world enjoys. The first Modern Warfare was a huge leap in innovation for Call of Duty, and shattered the industry's pre-conceived ideas of what worked in a game. Since then, the bar has been steadily climbing closer and closer to Call of Duty while the franchise maintains a straight line of sameness.
Oh, and Kasic is right. We have a sticky for a reason.
War games have always been popular because they are targeted at teenagers.
Nope.avi. The box says M. Targeted for twenty-somethings. The teenagers who play Call of Duty are the very vocal minority.
Because the teenager's life only lives from ages 13-18, there are always new teenagers to buy games like CoD.
after the idea of war-games has been done so many times, there isn't much to add.
See Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Innovation, dear child, is never too far away! Hell, take a look at Battlefield 3! The most powerful engine in the industry, just for that game!
The reason why many say CoD is getting worse is because they aren't making anything new. That is because they are taking what they have, giving it a very slight twist, and are releasing it
And, again, the series isn't getting worse, it's Stagnating. Hate the COMPANY for this, not the GAMES!
i dont like activision anymore. is just like EA.

iven the time period in between releases, it's no wonder they are setting themselves up for disaster. They aren't giving teens time to move on and be replaced, so the same teens are buying CoD and are getting bored of it.
Also because the industry is rapidly changing and innovating with new talent and new games. Y'know... that kinda stuff. It isn't just because a few pre-adolescents are getting bored with Activision's Bread 'n Butter.
Yeah and then I saw the previews for black ops 2 and it honestly doesn't look like CoD anymore. It looks like Halo mixed with Battlefield. Sounds cool, I know, but it isn't CoD anymore
WHAT? THAT SOUNDS AWESOME!!! What's wrong with that? It's something NEW! Something FRESH! Done right, it'll be AMAZING!!!
I think yes they are getting worse and there running out of ideas for games I think seriously Walking Tanks floating hovercrafts and all that other stuff by 2025 it would take like 10 years to even design something like that.
But it's NEW! The fact that it's a game still stands; it can get away with being over-the-top unrealistic, all for the sake of being FUN!

My message to all of you? Keep up the detest-filled glares you keep going CoD's way. However, REALLY, learn up on the industry and how it flows and works.
