No. An Indy game has no business being more than free. Hell, TF2 is free, and it was made by a big company. Mojang just doesn't care.
Hahaha I know, right? How DARE these people try and make money for investing years of their time into a game. There's no possible way that could make sense.
By the way, Team Fortress 2 went 4 years before becoming Free-to-Play.

I'd like to see you make an indy game and then not charge for it. Theses people do this for a living they can't just be giving away work for free.
Regardless, I believe that Minecraft is an amazing game. You don't even need to be good at building or be creative at all to enjoy it. You have creative mode for those who like to build, or if you want to make a project. Then survival for more of a rpg experience.
But if you have any friends who play and one of them is willing and knows how to set up a server it opens the game up for more possibilities. There are hundreds of custom maps for you to download an play, some with stories and some are just games. Anyone looking for a challenge should try out Vech's Super Hostile maps. There's also Race for Wool or Complete the Monument which I find very fun if you can get a big enough number of people together.
Mobil has herobine nuff said. If you want to get it mobile try block story first before you get Mine Craft mobile its like a bootleg version of it but its free and I guess if you like it you should get Mine craft

Dude, your on a site were people who are not idiots do it all the time without any "Free trials" Or "Premium" TF2 is plenty playable without premium BTW.
I've been wondering if I should get it too. It looks pretty cool and it's become really popular. It seems like it can be lots of fun. However, it also seems a bit comlicated and kind of hard to learn. I don't think I have the time or energy to get into it and I'm not very creative either. None of my friends play it and it propably isn't that much fun alone.
you should get it, first download a pirated version to try it, if u cant afford minecraft stick with pirated, but if u can afford it just buy it if u like it.

You're seriously telling him to get it illegally? Don't listen to this guy.

In a way He should pirate it. I will admit developers need money BUT THEY DON'T HAVE BUSINESS SELLING THE GAME FOR 30$ ON AN INDY GAME! Notch made thousands with beta alone. He doesn't need to be a billionaire. Also, when I said They have no business being higher than free, I was angry at something. This comment is a edited version. Anyway, not worth the 30 bucks.

So, because they make a profit, they have no business being higher than free? Let me guess, you want every game to be like Team Fortress 2 and be free? Yeah, no, that's not how the world works. People have to make a profit.
Also, it's an Indie game, $30 is not much compared to $60 for most games nowadays.
im not shure if minecraft is worth it. can someone answer that so i could know? most of my friends say its not i'd like to know what some other people think
