So I'm planning to sell my Wii and buy Xbox 360. So i would like to play one of these three games. Which one would you suggest? Halo, Battlefield 3 or call of duty? Post in what you pick and why do you pick it because i have only heard the games, but i haven't even seen a trailer. Thanks.
They're all good games, it really comes down to personal preference.
I haven't played Battlefield 3, but I hear it's pretty good.
The CoD games are pretty good. A lot of people pretend the CoD games are the worst games ever created. If you played all the past CoD games, then the newer games can feel "stale" considering the games don't change all that much. But if you are new to the series or if you haven't gotten sick of the formula, it's also a pretty great game.
CoD is pretty difficult to play at first because you die in a few shots. After you get used to the game some, you'll have a blast. It's a "realistic" shooter, unlike Halo.
I personally prefer CoD's gameplay over Halo. However, if you have friends who like to play custom games on Halo, Halo is a blast. There's a lot of variety with Halo, but it's also less realistic. It may take 5 seconds to kill someone (as opposed to 1 second).
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is coming out, as well as Halo 4. I would wait for one of those two games to come out if you have the money. Otherwise, Halo Reach or CoD Modern Warfare 3 would be my suggestion (only because I haven't played Battlefield 3).
You should probably look up some gameplay footage of the games on YouTube.
OK then. Umm... so you would suggest call of duty over halo. I've heard people saying that halo is a great game. You said it isn't very realistic which now reminds me of raze or raze 2 or sfh from armor games. Now my classmates have all those Xbox and ps3 consoles. They talk about battlefield 3 all the time. I have heard lots of people who hate COD. But maybe i will try it. Now i would like to hear the other people here. Post some more and explain why. Thanks.
First of all. Go to YouTube and look at Let's plays so you can see what the games are because other than the fact that you carry a gun the games aren't as much alike as some people think.
If u like small(er) maps, fast-paced action and a lot of customization I would say go for CoD.
You like vehicles, big maps, good weapon customization and team-play. Go for BTF
If u like sci-fi space shooting, alien, no weapon customization, cool map and editable maps and for me one of the most important good story and co-op go for Halo.
But honnestly just wacht some Lets plays and buy the game you like most. And btw it is nice if u own the same game as your friends.

This is the best thing you can do for yourself. Also, look at popular reviews from top sites like IGN and Gamespot.
Right now if I were you, I'd personally get Battlefield 3 with the premium stuff. It's an awesome game and there are several gamemodes to keep you entertained. The premium membership also gives you a lot more things; maps, guns, and all the DLC.
If you want to get a CoD, I'd wait for Black Ops 2. But if you really want a CoD, get Black Ops with the zombie maps DLC. I find that part of the game most enjoyable. Multiplayer is fine, but last time I played there weren't many people on it.
I'm just not a fan of the Halo multiplayer, I think it takes too long to kill someone. I just get those games for the story mode and offline multiplayer.
I would say Battlefield 3. It offers something most FPS games don't these days, a sense of realism and originality. Yes I might be a Battlefield fanboy, but I am also a Halo fanboy. In the end it all comes down to personal preference. If you have played all 3, and you know what they are like, buy them by your own preference. If you would like a sense of realism, Battlefield 3 is certainly the way the go, with big maps, jets, vehicles, etc. COD is great for quick gameplay and a more arcade type feel. Halo is more for the people that like a true, original feeling challenge, as well as a game set in the future (with aliens). I personally think COD is stale, because they have not changed much in their games. So there's some reasons to buy all of them. Like I mentioned, it really comes down to personal preference.
i think that you should go with battlefield 3 and wait then get black ops 2. i'm not a huge fan of halo for various reasons like it taking forever to kill someone and not being able to aim down most sites. first off before i can make an accurate opinion i have a question, are you going for mutliplayer or not? if so go as previously stated by me, if you're going for single player then go for halo, them maybe black ops 2. battlefield 3 is far more expansive and there's a whole lot more to it than CoD or halo, the maps are enormous and the buildings are destroyable, one BF3 map is like 5+ CoD maps stuck together, i will warn you, it's a tons harder than CoD, it takes more planning, there's more thinking about your next move and will keep you entertained for longer since there's so many more (hundred or so) more guns to unlock. halo (reach anyway, that's all i have experience in) all you unlock is different things to put on your suite and a couple of funny things for when you die, the "upgraded" stuff for your suite doesn't make you any tougher or do anything at all, in fact you look the same unless your playing free for all, then your "upgrades" will show, there some pretty cool things on halo multiplayer but the extreme amount of health and lack of unlocks makes its lasting appeal shorter than BF3's or Cod's
None of 'em. When you first purchase a console, bang for your buck is of utmost importance. Getting the most gameplay for your coin, in another phrasing. Games like Fable II, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3/New Vegas, Oblivion, Mass Effect, and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise are huge time-sinks that won't burn a hole in your wallet. They're also plain awesome, the gourmet RPG Baked Alaska to that Shooter potato-chip junk food the mainstream gamer crowd would shove down your throat.
You got one thing wrong in that post, you said that CoD had a small amount of players, it has more People online than any game I've ever played, there's still over 300,000 people online playing Plblack ops every time I play it. Rember, with halo it's stupidly hard to kill someone, whoever attacks first usually wins

Fanboyism Much.
And by small amount of players I think he means in a lobby/match. Because in comparison to BTF the lovby's/matches are small(ish). And the thing about Halo isn't right. Btw Jeff realistic doesn't apply to any game here. And the good story should be moved to Halo. But to be honest. I think it is best to listen to ChillzMaster.
i was just stating that there are massive amounts of people playing CoD and that i don't care much for halo.
yeah, you should probably listen to the chillz on this one, get an elder scrolls or something, although skyrim can get easy and repetitive. and it's only single player
I'd suggest Saints Row: The Third or Batman: Arkham City. Very long and innovative games, but Skyrim can be fun if you actually care for the quests instead of just wanting to get them over with. However they may get a bit repetitive since most of them appear to involve dungeons... As for difficulty, you can change that. I play on normal and it's fine, but going below that is boring. You don't even get a challenge anymore.
Well except for these games in the name of the topic, i was thinking about getting that RPG Eternal Sonata or something. And i thought i could get the Minecraft thingy too cuz i downloaded it on my comp and i double clicked it on the desktop it just kept loading forever. So maybe you guys are right. Including you Chillz.
