Exactly. We've had plenty of time to research into both of these alternative energy sources, as well as many others, but we've been too dependent on oil. That's why I want Obama, because he'll put funding into research for alternative fuel sources.

Ya, this is looking more and more like how it will go down (though perhaps not as much on hydrogen). The big problem is that if we wanted to switch to nuclear power the ideal time to start doing so would have been 20-30 years ago if we wanted to be replacing all our fossil fuel plants now (curse you Three Mile Island!). Any way we go we're going to be hurting in the near future.

I think it's already been proven that the "Trickle Down" theory doesn't work. However, when we work from the bottom up, as Obama wants to do, things tend to move forward.
Some people don't feel safe with such an old president, and rednecks prefer black men over white women I believe.(especially one as white as Obama) So if McCain were to die, they would rather just have Obama.
He also has much of the young vote for his charisma.
