Ok, in this thread you simply post whatever bands, songs, or playlists you've been listening to recently. I don't believe this is a duplicate thread but I'm sorry if it is. One rule though- don't be a music snob/ elitist. A bit of debate is fine, but don't bully anyone out of the thread. If we're all respectful and open-minded, this is a great way to share music and maybe try something new.

The past few days I've been listening to a few songs by Wintersleep: "Nothing is Anything (Without You)" , "Weighty Ghost", and "Laser Beams." Aside from those, I haven't had much of a craving for anything in particular in the past few days and I've been using shuffle on my iPod.

Format: Title-Artist

Don't Blink-Chris Jones & The Nightdrivers
Keepin' It Between the Lines-Peter Rowan
Rocky Top-Osborne Brothers
La Grange-ZZ Top
Hot Rod Lincoln-Commander Cody
Sophronie-Jimmy Martain
Gone at Last- Doyle Lawson/Quicksilver
Purple Haze-Jimi Hendrix
Foggy Mountain Breakdown-Flatt and Scruggs

Hopefully this will help.

Tit Wrench - Life Sucks, Do Me

... Somehow reminding one of Ministry's Jesus Built My Hotrod.
+ Their TV Song.

Or how's about their fabulous cover version of Lay Lady Lay.

Then the other day, had the pleasure of attending this event, hosted by Bart Plantenga at Mediamatic.

Featuring, besides a presentation by him, performances by Phil Minton (amazing!), Bernhard Betschart, and Miryam van Imschoot & Doreen Kutzke.

More great stuff

Again, Rap God by Eminem, Survival by Eminem, Berzerk by Eminem, I'm not afraid by Eminem.

Mweh, really not an Eminem guy, as you may have guessed. Although that movie of his (/featuring him? The classic "ghetto"- [cough] kid-growing-up-and-making-it one, shall we say Saturday Night Fever-stylee) could have been worse.

Sorry folks. Hey, did we do (the soundtrack of the movie) Magnolia yet?

Aimee Mann: Wise Up
Save Me

To name but two favorite tracks

Pelican's The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw EP. It's a very good piece of work and I would have never have discovered it if not for pang. :3
