Ok, in this thread you simply post whatever bands, songs, or playlists you've been listening to recently. I don't believe this is a duplicate thread but I'm sorry if it is. One rule though- don't be a music snob/ elitist. A bit of debate is fine, but don't bully anyone out of the thread. If we're all respectful and open-minded, this is a great way to share music and maybe try something new.
The past few days I've been listening to a few songs by Wintersleep: "Nothing is Anything (Without You)" , "Weighty Ghost", and "Laser Beams." Aside from those, I haven't had much of a craving for anything in particular in the past few days and I've been using shuffle on my iPod.
Party by K.Flay Great underground female rapper who is starting to break into the main scene. Mild swearing and party environment depicted in video, don't listen to at school or work.
Not my favourite song, but the one currently playing. I have been buying a few older albums of some bands I used to listen to years ago. Brings back memories :'
Not much of a variety in terms of kinds of music, but here are some of the groups I like to listen to:
Steep Canyon Rangers The Grascals Alison Krauss & Union Station Claire Lynch Chris Jones & the Nightdrivers ZZ Top Kristen Scott Benson Breaking Grass Nothin' Fancy Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, and The Foggy Mountain Boys Bill Monroe and The Bluegrass Boys Larry Stephenson The Country Gentlemen Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers
Sheesh, talk about a blast from the past (someone did mention ELO above, no?)
A really wrong band (in the progressive-rock sense) that I nonetheless remain very fond of, for their great lyrics if nothing else, would have to be... oh heck, Supertramp, as in their Logical Song.
Or how's about their Hide In Your Shell (seems to be stupidly hard to find the original studio version of on YouTube). Fool's Overture, sure; again I prefer the live Paris 1980 version.
