Ok, in this thread you simply post whatever bands, songs, or playlists you've been listening to recently. I don't believe this is a duplicate thread but I'm sorry if it is. One rule though- don't be a music snob/ elitist. A bit of debate is fine, but don't bully anyone out of the thread. If we're all respectful and open-minded, this is a great way to share music and maybe try something new.
The past few days I've been listening to a few songs by Wintersleep: "Nothing is Anything (Without You)" , "Weighty Ghost", and "Laser Beams." Aside from those, I haven't had much of a craving for anything in particular in the past few days and I've been using shuffle on my iPod.
I forgot about Lamb of God for a couple months. Getting back into it, I can't believe how good they sound. Sometimes you just need to step back from a band for a while, and come back later when your ears are no longer accustomed to their music. By far the best Thrash/Metalcore band (very slight roots in Metalcore, hardly noticeable. The album 'As the Palaces Burn' is a good example of their Metalcore side, and why I dislike that album. =P ). I highly recommend every album besides 'As the Palaces Burn', unless you like Metalcore (which most people do not).
* Never was much of a fan of theirs, really. But, as usual, the one thought leads to another.
This song among others must've been what spurred me to decide to go vegetarian as a young boy, really. From the put your money where your mouth is dept. Never did regret it.
... How could I forget btw, that album's opening track, also fantastic: Antiworld. Do play these LOUD.
The whole album, NunSexMonkRock, indeed is just great. Dr. Art, sure, on the short-lived Amsterdam punk rocker avant la lettre named Dr. Rat among other things, whom apparently she had something of a brief fling with.
