I'm going to shorten the turns now, because if someone hasn't posted by the second day, they're likely to not post at all. So turns will last two days now, I guess.

I appoint Goliath as my general, then I send soldiers to investigate the red liquid and try to take the monster to out homes. I also send some more soldiers to explore any near residences (anthills or whatever). I again try to scout any their areas where there are the green things. Also do I earn food?

Accepted. I already finished up writing most of what's going on, so I'll post in four hours. Which means that Moon and Jam have that exact time to post.

Fair warning! The next turn will be a day shorter in the interest of most of the current players!

TURN 3 - Next deadline: July 25, 12:01 PM

"**** it. **** you."
"No, **** you. You're the one who got us into this mess on the first place."
"That's not what matters anyways."
"That's what you'd like to think."
"Well. It's your fault."
"No, **** it. You just love to lie."
"Could you just shut your ****ing mouth'?"
Both ants continued fighting and exchanging evil words whilst their captors carried them on long wooden sticks. Their six limbs were tied to the stilts, in such a manner that the ants were hanged upside-down. They had long ago forgotten any attempts of escaping their undeniable death: they would soon be sacrificed by the zealotous mantises in horrid ways, so terrible that they did not even want to think about what would happen.

One of the ants was noticeably larger than the other. This ant was once a soldier ant. As such he was strong, but weak compared to even the scrawniest of the mantises that had captured both of them. He was a young ant, always trying to convince his father to let him join the army. When he finally did, he got captured on his first battle. How unfortunate, it's not like it was destined to happen, right?

For some strange and curious coincidence, the other ant that had been captured with him was his lover (or so he'd like it to be!), a beautiful she-ant. When the evil mantises raided their Anthill, all had been killed or routed away but for them, who had been captured. They continued arguing for a time until they finally reached the city of Requiem.

Requiem is a great city indeed, putting any other insect city in Britain to shame. It is indeed a marvelous sight to enter its tall gates, the Gatehouse of Altheim., and see the interior of the city of the Gods (the pagan mantis gods). Tall walls encircled the city completely, proud and unassailable structures. Most people considered their petty outpost in London to be the capital of the Mantis Dominion. There could be no greater fallacy. The London Outpost was, indeed, a sight to behold, yet it was a stupid child next to Requiem, masterpiece and apex of insect culture and pride.

Yes, both ants were about to die in the most beautiful city of the known world. How exciting! They now noticed they were being carried to an immense and tall structure. End of the line? Yup.

The shrine of the Gods is, arguably, the greatest achievement of any insect species anywhere in the world. Seven meters tall and decorated with strange metals, it was truly a sight to behold. The prisoners were taken inside, where there was a great arena. They were dumped into the center of an arena, and their bounds were loosened. They stood up and saw what was around them.

Hundreds, no, thousands - actually, more like hundreds of thousands - of mantises were watching them with beady eyes and funny smiles. Some were standing up, most were seated. Some wore rich garments and precious stones, others wore rags, or nothing. But everyone was silent, and everyone was staring at them.

The two ants were rightly dumbfounded. However, a couple of seconds later, they were dumbstruck. A strange she-mantis had somehow appeared before them whilst they were distracted watching the crowd. She was dressed in a peculiar brown-black garb. Then, she started addressing the crowd in some strange mantis language.

"You should learn something or two from this mantis chick" said the Soldier to the Woman.
"Why, youâ¦."
"Silence!" roared the mantis priestess. If looks could kill, boyâ¦

Then, silence. Every insect in the large central room of the shrine was straining its ears. Screams could be heard in the distance, as well as the clash of steel on steel. The mantises glanced about nervously. Something was not right, and the two ants noticed it.

Something was indeed not right. Nobody is stupid enough to attack Requiem.

The ten soldiers that investigate Halifax return with the knowledge that there live small Brown Beetles in the city in a large lair. Their flag depicts a Beetle bearing a lance.

The ten who march towards Blackburn return with a diplomat, however. The diplomat, a rare gray ant, approaches your presence and bows deeply.

"Hail, lord of the Liverpool!" he cries after you motion him to stand up. "I come from the empire of the Night Ants with offers of peace and prosperity!"

The enemy ants laugh and cackle at the slow speed of your men, but they continue to approach the enemy in a pincer-ish formation (as they are not very well disciplined). Then, the enemy makes a bold (and stupid) dash towards the center of your force. The bloodlust of your ants is immense, as most of your ants have been slaves throughout their lives.

Just before the forces clashed, insults and taunts were exchanged by the two forces, some of the enemies calling your underlings 'Fat' and 'Stupid'. This was rapidly avenged when a rather large one of your ants flashed his arse at the enemy force, and then the whole of your force laughed merrily and cried with many voices 'Liberty!'

Your left 'incer' completely flanks the enemy force and drives deeply into their force. However, the soldiers on the right are ambushed and fight whilst they attempted to maneuver and engage the enemy's flank by a small group of enemies that was hiding under a rock.

During the terrible bloodshed, a large bird-creature drops a strange milky projectile that crashes tremendously into the heart of the enemy soldiery. Even if your forces have a large edge in terms of having flanked the main enemy force, they fight relentlessly against your men.

You stand atop a small hill, watching the battle go on., mounted on a grasshopper. Your companions are with you, your faithful bodyguards. They are still, watching the mighty clash of armies.

"The only thing we have that hints what might have happened here are some small pools of toxin around the place. It is most likely of arachnid origin. There seem, however, to be no corpses of the enemy around here. Whatever got our neighbors is likely tough, having raided most of the hive in a rapid manner."

Walking around the nest, you notice that what they said is true. Small purple pools can be seen around the place, mainly around the bodies of the deceased. Most of your Bees try to avoid walking near the corpses, but a select few carry the corpses away and begin digging a hole in the ground to bury them in.

There seems to be, however, not the slightest trace of the Queen Bee.

The ants of the place bid you goodbye as you march away. They seem to be untroubled by your departure, as if visitors came to their halls to feast (and left before the feast) daily. Nevertheless., they aren't your greatest concern at the moment.

The walk back home occurs with no incidents, you and your bodyguards making good speed back to the lodge.

Upon arriving home, the soldiers seem to be troubled by something. The Lodge is oddly quiet. The people seem to be away. One of your captain walks up to you nervously.

"Sir. Something has happened that needs your demands your immediate attention."

Your soldiers march in good order towards the lands on the East, and reach a massive metropolis. Stone walls tower high before them, proud indigo standards flying in the wind. A great gatehouse with thick wooden gates opens to your men, and trumpets are heard coming from the great building. A great Scorpion, mounted on top of a small cricket, rides towards your men. He wears a white tunic, with a proud coat-of-arms in its breast.

"Greetings, people of the outside!" he cries with a learnt accent. "Are you come to us with peace, and desire to bring greatness to both of our lands? Or are you, regrettably, come here bent on provoking your own undoing?"

Your soldiers find wood sources and bring wood in lesser quantities. After some of the new stuff, the nest solidifies and becomes tough again. One of your soldiers discovered the real source of the problem - a nearby colony of termites had been chewing on the wood, thus deteriorating its quality.

(Pardon my blunder, you do get food)

"It is an honor, Sir." reports your new general as he salutes you. Then, following your orders, he takes a troop of men to investigate the red liquid that the bird left behind. It appears to be quite thick, and it is foul to the taste.

Meanwhile, a small division of your men departs to investigate the surrounding areas. You discover that your land is almost completely encircled by the Mantis empire. This is the last message you receive from the division. Two days later, no updates have been received, leading some of your men to believe that the soldiers had been ambushed, or entertained on some affair.

Ok, while they give the dead a proper burial if they want to, I'm going to check out the queen's chamber or whatever and see what happened there.

Me and my bodyguards charge into the right flank on our grasshoppers, bannerman at the forward next to me, trumpets blowing. I hold a shield made from the exoskeleton of a stag beetle and a serrated sword made from mantis claws.

OOC: idk can our leaders have equipment like that lol, stone age tools were basically made of bone and antler and being insects exoskeletons and such wouldn't be far off lol

also I would like to suggest elephant beetles to be added to the list of "Vehicles"
aka something like a elephant or tank lol

I guess so, but you'd have to capture them in the wilds.

If your leader fights valiantly, he may. If your leader stays behind fighting a battle from a bunker, nothing's going to happen (I did notice that your leader is actually fighting the battle sword in hand, I just wrote this last sentence to make the post longer).

Could you restate your turn? I didn't quite understand it.

I move my leader to the right flank who got ambushed to lead them against the enemy. Trying to push them back into their own allies to surround the other forces.
