I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.

That was a law in the old testament, witch you said were no longer under effect. Thus I can have sex with whatever I want and not get punished.

But its the Bible's law that you said is still in effect, why shouldn't we do what he suggests?


I would be FASCINATED to see an Old Testament law talking about y'know bad stuff

I'm pretty sure that's a law in whatever country you live in. And even if I said such, that is still a law held today. So if I said that (love to see it) then screw it.

No. You can have sex with whatever with out getting stoned. There's other punishments that can be applied, now or after death. I hear hanging by thumbs is quite enjoyable actually

And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. ... But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die. Deuteronomy 22:13-21

3. If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother ... ...So we should really stone anyone who insults the current president? Who marries while not a virgin? Who works on Sabbath day? Who gets rapped but does not scream loud enough? Really screwed up laws...

Well now i have 2 out of the 3 people i'd like to sit down and have lunch with. God/Jesus and Moses. A perfect time to find out the whole explanation behind the stonings.

One of the really interesting things here is that there is so much reference in Old Testament laws about virginity. At the time the only way to know if a woman was indeed a virgin at the time of intercourse was if the hymen broke and produced bleeding. However through modern medical science we now know that many times the hymen will break from a particularly strong menstrual cycle, or from masturbation, and these do not mean that this girl is not in fact a virgin. Seems like an all knowing God would have known about this and taken it into account when handing down laws with such strict punishments...

I think that the contradictions should be mentioned. The bible is full of them.

On the day Moses comes down from Mount Sinai with the stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments, he discovers that the Israelites have created a golden calf. To punish the people, Moses gathers a group of men and takes the following action in the book of Exodus, Chapter 32:

Then he [Moses] said to them, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' " The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.
So... one minute we have God carving into stone, "Thou shalt not kill." Then the next minute we have God telling each man to strap a sword to his side and lay waste to thousands.

God CAN be seen:
"And the Lord spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend." (EXO 33:11)
"For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (GEN 32:30)

God CANNOT be seen:
"No man hath seen God at any time." (JOH 1:18)
"And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see me and live." (EXO 33:20)
"Whom no man hath seen nor can see." (1TIM 6:16)
