well one time I was speeding down a steep road on my old friends bikes, it wasn't that big and the brakes sucked hardcore, right. So he decides to turn onto a different road so i go to follow but the turn was to sharp to take at the speed I was going, so Im holding the back breaks so I dont burn out and wipeout but its not enough, by then Im freaking out a bit, so I hit the front brakes the bike spins so its sliding sideways, did I mention there was a ditch with to big thick trees on the road we were turning on? well its sliding sideways but luckily I managed to get off the bike, thank god it was small, and it slide into the ditch, I survived with no injuries and the bikes breaks got a little jammed, by then my adrenaline was pumping into overdrive and all my old friend could say was "My baby!!!My bike!!!" I was like "I could have died man and all You care about is your bike??" All this happened and I didn't have a helmet on!!!!
About a year ago when i was doing my initial dogfighting rainig i was in the cockpit with my instructor going through the manouvres. It was going fine at first the take off and the first 3 were going fine. Then i had to do a inveterted stall corkscrew. I got up to 30000 feet got the nose of the plane to go straight up and let the engine stall. I then turned the nose of the plane back around to give me the momentum to level off at around 20000 feet and come back round. In the old days of flyong the engines would stall because of gravity. When you point the nose up all the fuel would go to the back of the engine so it would stop therefore stalling. Now there are filters to stop this happening. However my filter malfunctioned and the engine didnt kck back in at 20000 feet and so i ouldnt level the nose off in time. Instead i carried on towards the ground at around 435 mph. Then the fuel at 5000 feet flooded the engine and i was ableto pull it up. But the instrucor ext to me was very impressed. Now i know what the pilots in WW2 had to ndure inj some of their sorties. But basically that was my near death experience.
in greece i was smimmin when i was 10 and this wave just came and forced me under the water, i was dragged lke 200 feet under water on sharp @ss rocks and pepples and after 2 or 3 minutes of being under water i finally hit the shore
Are you asking for our near death experiences,or our friends or other people that you know near death experiences? I never been close to death(not to my knowledge) but my friends and family been a lot. Im not telling all though, only one. My ex boyfriend was riding his bike and all that stuff in the road, when a car appears at high speed and hits the front wheel of the bike (but not the person) then he falls to the floor really fast, and he almost died. Well not sure if he almost died, but he hit his head very hard...
once i was getting towed behind a tube (a flat one) behind a jet ski whith 2 friends and we hit a cruiser wave (cruiser is a big boat that makes HUGE waves) and the tube litterally went like 10 ft in the air and it flipped over with me still on it i was stuck under for like 10 seconds it scared the crap out of me!
Hmm... Mine comes out as mostly drowning when i was umm i thik 5 i didn't know how to swim and my cousin pushed me into the deep end of a pool(B1itch), and nobody noticed me for about 5 min. of me struggling to grab the end of the pool.My dad jumped in grabbed me out and just about killed my cousin...True story
Me and my friend's were riding our bikes when we desided to go to the school park, and we seen this huge hill. So we thought it would be awsome if we went down the hill for speed. My first friend went down, his sweater was up in the air, we could tell that we were going to go fast. So we went at the same time instead of the suspence killing us. My friend chicked out and held the brakes, i don't blame him because i was still going when a car came around the cornor. I held the brakes, but i was still going and the guy in the car didn't see me. I held my balance, and managed to stop myself. I never went to that hill ever again, it haunts me this day forward.
I've actually had a few near death experiences: 1. When I was an infant and a toddler, I had two or three Grand Mal seizures.
2. When I was around two years old, I was bitten on my face by my dog.
3. In the Second grade, I had a weaken immune system after a surgery, and then I got food poisoning from my school lunch.
4. Perhaps the most serious, at the end of the third grade, I was hospitalized with Toxic Shock Syndrome, and my pancreas, spleen, and kidneys were failing.
5. The latest one is the most embarrassing; I choked on a hot dog.
here is one from me (I have others but I try not to think about them)
copied from scariest experience thread I was walking home late at night, when three guys popped over a fence with knives drawn. I tried to run, but they surrounded me and one swung at me, but my instincts took over and I ducked and punched him right in the gut knocking the wind out of him, a stupid move one of the other guys stabbed my arm and it went right through. but it was weird it didn't hurt at all right when he did it, but startsd to hurt soon after. now they had me wounded and surrounded I didn't know what they wanted so their was this awkward pause, then the one I punched in the stomach said "give us all your money" at this I started to almost laugh and I said "look at me I have a worn shirt, ripped pants and crappy shoes, does it really look like I have money" so they seached me then gave a farewell gift, a knife to the left calf then they bolted. so I stumbled to my friend Adam's house (who is eighteen) because it was only half a block away and he took care of me but the awesome part was when I woke up on the couch of his house my girlfriend Angelina was right there.
I was in fourth grade......(slowly changing into a flash back)
A normal day running around playing with my friends. We started to play tag, The person who was it was right behind me, I take off running as fast as I can, hes right on my tail though. I look down and sprint at full speed, looked behind me, turned my head, mid turn...
BAM. I woke up 10 minutes later bleeding completely soaked from the side of my head. I was taken immediately to the hospital. It turns out I just missed my temple. And had a severe concussion (when your brain hits the inside of your skull.)
Being a Life Guard, I have saved many people from Near Death. It's crazy to think that If I wasn't there to help them, they probably wouldn't be around today. It was mainly little kids that I've saved, and it's scary because no one else saw them go under, or start drowning. I guess thats just why they put life Guards where people are able to swim, so that at least one person is dedicated to making sure nothing bad happens. Pool related deaths are a leading cause of death among kids. The worst things are drowning, slipping on the pool deck, and worst of all diving in Shallow water. NEVER DIVE INTO A POOL WITHOUT A DESIGNATED DIVING AREA!, I can't stress that enough, so many people die, or are paralyzed for life because of stuff like that.
