so i was thinking yesterday that although my game take the castle is working as i would like, it is boring. although it keeps me busy with lots of things i must pay attention to, the players say "i raid" and sometimes "i buy 1 heavy infantry unit." so i have devised a new dungeon crawler game that i think any active forum participator will like. here is the intro- (this is a mid-evil era game)

One day, as you are sitting in your cottage, you hear a knock on your door. you go to answer it. standing there is a man in long purple cloaks (keep in mind that is the sign of royalty). you cannot see his face or any part of his body, as the cloak covers it all. he seems...friendly-ish, but before you can say anything he begins.
"Hello! my name is sir Acrobis of the Deminin family. i am here because i am looking for brave adventurers to help me forfill a quest...a very dangerous one. have you ever heard of the legendary dragon's gold?" you think for a moment, but you do not recall of it. "well legend has it that in a town very close to here a dragon has millions of pounds of gols stashed away in an underground safe...and i am trying to assemble a team to recover it. everyone participating splits the loot. Do you accept?" you say of course, beacuse you wont turn an offer like this one down. however, the following events are foggy.

Rules:
1. i am the only one who determines outcomes of anything. you NEVER will say "i decapitate xyz monster and then run down a hall." instead, "i attempt to decaptiate xyz monster." big difference.
2. If/when you become in a party, battling will be different. i havent worked this out yet, but i can tell you this, if your not posting every 2 days, you may be subject to be taken out temporarily to permanently
3. godmodding is strictly forbidden
4. if you die, you are done. you may restart, but EVERYTHING you had will be destroyed.
5. arguing will NOT be tolerated

Notes:
1. observe EVERYTHING. one of the major functions in this game will be to observe the room. if you enter a room i will give you obvious things, but most everything important or even special you will have to take a turn and observe for.
2. every peice of armor will have stats, rarity, and resell value, because there will be AI vendors in this game
3. everyone is on the same map. i cannot stress this enough because its very important. i will sketch the map, and is possible to go into a room that has already been explored
4. enemies will, for the most part, scale to your level. but in some instances they may not. bosses will not present themselves to you obviously, and if your very weak i may say "dont not go in there unless you plan on dieing."
5. PvP is going to happen, unless you want to baby through the game and never hurt a soul.
6. everything you do in this game will factor towards your alignment. i will tell you what you are and inform you of changes.
7. XP will be gained by killing monsters. PvP kills will be worth TONS. leveling up increases base stats. i will tell you when you gain XP
8. I will always update your CS (character sheet), not you. there is a format i want it in, and it will be that way.

the man then holds a large key out in front of him. it has a skeleton on it and seems to be made of pure gold.
"this treasure we were going to give to the king and report it as our only findings...but now its looking like we wont be doing much of anything."

I politely ask Sir Archene to stop patronising these men, as it seems the only way for us to procede through the dungeon is to take their key by force, which I very much do not want to do, or have them join us, which I very much want to do. I then tell the man that I believe the only way I believe to continue escape the dungeon is to get to the bottom by using keys like those to go through certain doors to get more keys, until you find a room with a dragon whom you must kill. As I said before, you may join us, we can at least accompany you to the doorway, or we can incapacitate or kill you, in order of best to worst options.

He wears a sand coloured cloak better suited to rangers, although without the the bracers protecting his arms from bow-string lash-back, has thinner leather and is without any other weapons. He keeps a desert stone in his pack, a large flask containing two pints of health potion, some rope and a smooth sceptre of wood covered in scratches.
Bio: I may add to it at a later date. If you do wish to bring in characters related to him ; magica is considered taboo to the members of his village and a few of the villages near it. Gul was banished from his home and ended up in the town this story starts at (i'm guessing the setting is medieval europe specifically. Or the place is slightly roman/byzantine? Tyrian Purple being the colour of authority there in ancient times.)

It seems likely the door is behind me since it wasn't detailed. Also I'm guessing this must be some kind of interrogation room. I strain my the rope in my hand if I can. If the chair made made of rectangular rather than cylinder pieces of wood, I run the rope against the corner of one of the chairs. I look around while I'm doing so, and maybe judge the strength of the chair, I may well be able to tip it and break it beneath my back. "Hello?" I say softly in a strong desert folk accent.

there is no one in your room as long as im remembering correctly...so saying a name isnt necessary. your idea is interesting...im having difficulty picturing it though.

"I apologise for that" I say. "But it was a mere statement of fact, as I needed that key. For it to come to violence would be my last resort. In hindsight I see that offering to buy it or something similar before resorting to threats. And most beings I find in rooms such as this attack me once I get a sentence out, so I was on edge. I would still like you to join us though.

you have observed that room like 5 times now, and i have already said this. you wont find anything new after 1 observation. the keys to the next floor are things you have to work for.

the plate brakes away, shattering as soon as the rocks weight gives on it. the rope then falls, but you are still holding on to it. you peer into the hole. its the length of your rope, about 3 feet deep. its wide enough to craw through. i will allow you to take the rock and rope back.
