'Knighthood': What is a 'Knight'? And what does 'Knighthood' mean?

'Knighthood' and the title 'Knight' is bestowed upon a user that has shown exemplary deeds and outstanding behavior as a member of the Armor Games Community. This exclusive title is only granted to those users that have earned a special place among the citizens of the Kingdom.

How do I become a Knight?

Care about the community and other users and catch the eye of moderators or admins, they are the ones who choose who is Knighted. Don't ask to be Knighted, that's a good way not to be Knighted.

What can Knights do?

-They have access to a Knight-only Forum.
-They have access to Knight-only armatars
-Special forum coloring and badge.
-Knight Gilding

I'll add more to this sticky if there are further Questions.

What is knight gliding may I ask?

According to nicho, it's the border around our armatars.

Correct, it's gilding around the Armatar @Arko9699

Thank you. By the way I am sorry to ask this question as the topic had been started a year before.

Do you have to be a moderator to become a knight?, just out of interest.
PS sorry about my username, its strange but easy to remember, I am not trying to bully people. ( I don't want to get banned)

Actually, normal users are the ones that become knights, except for those who were mods or admins before the feature was implemented.

Hey this question really is trivial but could Knighthood possibly be the equivalent to a Merit in the original AG?

@Mickeyryn Merits still exist, Mods are able to give them out. Knighthood is a bit more serious, but it is another form of recognition.

A scene from Omelette -- Prince of Remark

Bakkart paces the battlements, ruminating on how one goes about getting knighted.

To be, or not to be knighted --that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the forums to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous Ferret
Or to take arms against a post of Gantic
And by opposing end your chances. To surrender, to give up--
No more--and by give up to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That gaming is heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To surrender, to give up--
To give up--perchance to be knighted: ay, there's the rub,
For in that giving up what quests may come
When we have logged off this armatar's profile,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long an account.
For who would bear the walkthroughs and advice of Reton8,
Tasslefoot's tough games, MrDayCee's legendary status,
The pangs of despised quests, the awarding delay,
The insolence of trolls, and the spurns
That patient merit of the poster takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With just not caring? Who would UnleashedUponMankind bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary set of quests,
But that the dread of something after achievement,
The undiscovered country, from whose status
No gamer returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those quests we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprise of great gaming and questing
With this regard their postings turn awry
And lose the name of action. -- Soft you now,
The fair Strop! -- Knight, in thy orisons
Be all my merits remembered.

Bravissimo. A bit unclear at points, particularly when introducing the names of mods and the bit about the undiscovered country, where the analog between afterlife and knight status doesn't fit at all, but quite good on the whole.

Nice poem! @bakkart

But why has thou posted such a poem here? Is your goal to become knighted? Or to give up on being knighted? Either way, I still love the poem

My apologies to my man Bill; he's probably spinning in his Stratford grave at such grievous misuse of his most famous speech.

It was fun to read @bakkart, so I think Bill forgives you for misusing his speech! Nice job!
