This thread is about the Quests for rogue-like game Labyrinth: Secrets of ShadowHaven. Help the folks below, some of these Quests are very challenging.
Acid Drop Lure an enemy into an acid pool. Hardness: Easy
Sky Commander Get the Wings. Hardness: Medium
Breaking and Entering Break into a Boss Battle without Destroying all the Orbs First. Hardness: Medium
Ammo Ambush Reach 99 Ammo. Hardness: Medium
Power Presence Collect all 7 Permanent Upgrades in One Game. Hardness: Medium
Wings is the seventh upgrade. They are quite rare, that's why when I get them I'm even more careful than I already am about getting hit since you will lose them. I've actually got two wings in one game I played, other than that I've probably done 30+ runs and only gotten them in maybe 4 other games.
As for ammo, I can usually obtain 99 by level 6 or 7 depending on the drop rate (Not uncommon for me to get 15-20 ammo a level, including the boss room), it's important to go through the entire level killing every enemy and getting every crate/chest, also remember that picking up a rocket or grenade weapon gives you 3 ammo. It's important to get some kind of block breaker early (Preferably the block breaker upgrade so you don't use extra ammo) so you can get the extra crates/chests in the boss rooms, I've had many games where I had to skip some precious in the early boss rooms due to having no block breaker .
Tips for 99 ammo: - Explore whole level, kill all enemies - Don't waste ammo on early bosses, master killing the easier bosses with just the normal ranged attack, and the normal melee attack (when not full health) - Every boss room has a hidden cache of crates/chests if you explore up, down, left, and right
7 Upgrades for the achievement: - Super Jump Boots - Block Breaker - Climbing Claws - Double Jump - Orb Compass - Glider - Wings
Pro-tip: The climbing claws nullify the effects of ice!
Also, if you're getting weird glitches like teleporting through walls, I think it's a google chrome bug with flash player. You'll need to play in Firefox or... I hate to say it: Internet Explorer! (dun dun dun!)
No. I'm using IE and it still happens sometimes. Sometimes the bosses' laser eye beams will pass through solid corners as well.
Is there a trick to getting those wings or is that just pure random? through like 15 levels and still no wings
I'm wondering the same thing... I've only gotten them once, it was pretty frustrating to beat so many levels without getting them. Guess I'll have to replay it again some day...
I've encountered a "glith" where I defeated 3 bosses in one hit, which resulted in almost "freezing" the game, since I could jump, fly, move left/right with the character while it stood in one place.
It only showed one boss' death animation instead of three, so I'm guessing the frozen time was consisted out of 2 boss death animations that still needed to occur?
That happened to me a few times, i killed one boss of three and then the other 2 died. I think that happen because in the last try (last life) 3 boss was a normal amount to spawn (once you are in high levels), and then the system consider that 3 boss still normal amount in another try, but with the same amount of life as one boss, consequently you can kill them dealing damage in only one.
- Fixed a teleporting bug with pressing UP with sticky claws at kitty corner blocks - Added a confirmation for exiting to main menu when you press the "M" hot key.
If you want to get to level 13 easily, just go to the main menu (press M) when you die and if you press start, it should start you off at the level you died in
