@Reton: not rly, but it depends on finding/upgrade weapons/armors... or better the gold to buy enough scrap metal to do the upgrades, the better your upgrades are, the easier it is. The better your magic abilitiesare, the better you can buff your party. For the last quest you need to reach hardcore mode (after the dragon is dead).
well the graphic of epic fantasy are beter but i dont really like this game,it doesn't have a map , and it difficult to find a way out so i like crystal story more
is something wrong with the bestiary quest/achievement? i've got like 46 entries in it already, but the quest isn't ticking and the achievement says 30/122
Secret Quest : Needed all 4 Genetic form Hard Mode (Completing the story), 3 of them can be obtain by exploring map and the Fire Genetic can be obtained by completing "Lake Trouble" quest available at the Castle after defeating the "Bird King" quest. The other 3 chest are found at zone Sunken Ruin,Fork and Landing. Correct me if i wrong. P.S. Great game remind me of FF 13 and 13x2 stats like zodiac tree allocate where each character can master all role. Too bad this game doesn't have online saving
Lil add: You must get them in the right order, first sunken ruins, then fork (chest there is only available with genetic stone from ruins), then landing, then warm yeti and get the lake trouble quest. Afaik bird king is not needed.
@Reton8 For the secret quest what Unleashed was saying is the chest doesn't even appear until you have the previous one required. In other words, the chest at fork doesn't even appear until you have the one from the sunken ruins, and the one at landing doesn't even appear until you have the one from fork. So technically, it's impossible to do it in the "wrong order" and mess up because there is only one right order to obtain them to begin with.
And don't worry about accidentally selling the generic stones, I just tried to but they don't even show up in the store to sell .
Yepp, its for the secret quest. As Complexity still mentinoed you cant do things wrong, you just can waste tmie by searching the right place at the wrong time. If you rach the hard mode you ll have access to 4 new areas, one of them is the "Sunken Ruins", in a chest there youll find the generic stone, which you cant sell (luckily^^). Only if you have this stone youll find a new chest in the fork, there youll get... generic ice or water, forgot which one, with that item youll find a new chest at landing. Then go to the Warm Yeti and youll see a new quest, called "Lake Trouble", accept it and beat the monster there, then youll get (as drop) generic fire --> quest completed.
Nice side effect: this enemy also drops a ruby (afaik 100% chance) so youll be able to upgrade one weapon to "IV"... sadly you can only beat him one time, so only one ruby...
These type of games aren't my thing, so I'm eager to be done with these quests. At least these are doable, unlike some other games ....
FYI, for those like me who didn't have a clue about "Here I Go!" (using an ultimate skill), you have to upgrade a weapon to Level 2, and then use your brand-new "Charge" ability in a battle; this enables your ultimate skill which your character can use on his/her next turn.
Any advice on 1) good weapons or good weapon upgrades? or 2) how to beat Rita #2?
Nevermind on the Rita advice -- I just beat her (barely). I guess grinding up for a while helps ... I did more with Poison and Slow this time around as well.
Not looking forward to the Dargon fight. I'm looking at this guide for advice, which seems pretty good: http://crystal-story-ii.wikia.com/wiki/Dargon_King_(146)
Sorry for all these posts, but the advice in the link I provided above was very useful. I didn't follow it precisely, but the general structure helped out a lot. Took me two tries to get the Dargon King down, which I thought wasn't too bad.
