Hi, I am level 3142, and I am going to be the first to get a grade 100 gem.
How did I get specs obscenely high? Well, thanks to this dude over here...
One important thing to note is how to create dual gems. Adding two grade one's them spamming U is losing about 33% special power.
Optimal creation is a G1 of both, combine, make a G2 of each, add one pure to each dual, combine the G3s, duplicate, and repeat with pure G4s, duplicate the 6, etc.
here is the difference at g34: Regular creation: http://prntscr.com/3dgs2c
Special Mix: http://prntscr.com/3dgs6k
Note that the hit count is the same, and the cost to duplicate is the same. This is a difference of 32.9%, and this difference keeps rising at higher levels. It's only a 16% difference at grade 6. It takes a decent amount of time, but it is worth it at ultimate grades (45+).
I now have huge specs. It takes me about 20-30 seconds real life time to get +1 grade. So a minute before +2(needed if want extra specs). I estimate my specs to be about 80% higher than normal, at least blood is.
PS- Level 46 amps got the spec treatment too, they are wicked.
I dont think i went further than C with farming ._. While going to 75-80 takes me about a day, going any furthers takes DAYS for each upgrade ._. I saw last wave on B5 today and it had 4e65hp. No idea how high gem would have to be since at 85/86 it could kill e51 tops. As for gems managem would be G102 and amplifiers G103. Anything further would require days. It took me 1 day to get from 80/81 to 85/86 alone.
For XP-farming the higher fields are better - at R6 the last wave of endurance had 5e77hp, even without healing it would last forever to kill it with my gem (easy-killing up to 5e49)...
After playing with those high numbers it is a kind of amazing being kicked in the "lower-back" by some 3e6hp Monsters... But I will get them - tomorrow
And, @daniil_sizov_98: Thanks for your advise!
Hey, I wrote 3e6, not 3e60 This is my "no-mp, low level"-slot - I need some action before I do another XP-run But at least I killed some e63 flying ones with my above shown gem (and a lot WoE and shrine of blades)
there would be an workaround for more then x shots/frame... e.g.: we have a gem 100 shots/frame we can draw an calculate 5 shots per frame. so we have to multiply alle 5 shots base-dmg by 20. only problem is armor.
Eh ... multiply the 5 base shots by 20 to represent the "cluster" of 20 shots ... multiply the armor by 20 as well. Multiply the mana, suppression, poison, etc. ... only problem is armor tearing, but doing an average (starting_armor - 0.5 * shots * armor_tearing) to find out the amount of damage that the armor knocks off then taking the armor tearing and multiplying it by the number of shots.
Actually, if computers back in the early 1990's were able to handle Master of Orion's 65000 huge ship stacks of 396 autofiring (3 shots) weapons without any slowdown, or over 77 million shots, I think that it is all the extras (weather and other particle effects, that "wasted shot calc, etc.) and not the actual firing rate that causes a problem with today's computers.
People like their polish. They don't want to see bare-bones graphics if they can see every single sparkle and gore pixel. Yet it is having those things that takes the power away from the other stuff, in this game's case the capability to do all of the shots when you have a very high rate of fire.
Hey oLaudix, can you do the gem combination scheme comparison for mana levels e33 and e35? I want to see just how well they fare after days of farming mana.
I've made high-resolution images of notable high-grade gems in this thread and others. Note that the specials bug is accounted for, so the stats you see are not inflated by a factor of 100. More will be added later.
