Hi, I am level 3142, and I am going to be the first to get a grade 100 gem.
How did I get specs obscenely high? Well, thanks to this dude over here...
One important thing to note is how to create dual gems. Adding two grade one's them spamming U is losing about 33% special power.
Optimal creation is a G1 of both, combine, make a G2 of each, add one pure to each dual, combine the G3s, duplicate, and repeat with pure G4s, duplicate the 6, etc.
here is the difference at g34: Regular creation: http://prntscr.com/3dgs2c
Special Mix: http://prntscr.com/3dgs6k
Note that the hit count is the same, and the cost to duplicate is the same. This is a difference of 32.9%, and this difference keeps rising at higher levels. It's only a 16% difference at grade 6. It takes a decent amount of time, but it is worth it at ultimate grades (45+).
I now have huge specs. It takes me about 20-30 seconds real life time to get +1 grade. So a minute before +2(needed if want extra specs). I estimate my specs to be about 80% higher than normal, at least blood is.
PS- Level 46 amps got the spec treatment too, they are wicked.
This is an G85(32s64c) with a 14c
And almost useless standard amps
Skills: TC156, Res 152, BB 150, Mana & Crit: 141, all +15
Got me to wave beaten: 578, 282bn xp, now WL 11066
Man, it's been a while since I last played this game.
Anywho, currently trying to earn back some of the XP lost after the v1.1 update. Currently doing Endurance on F1, Haunting difficulty, total multiplier of x18.10.
And no, I'm not trying Hatred yet. I might use it on some later fields, though, especially since now there's no cap on component skills or Resonance...heh.
Currently have my mana gain skill at 75, if anyone's wondering (73 + 2 given by talisman).
Also, on a different note, I'm kind of annoyed at how enraging waves no longer gives multiple XP bonuses.
This time I tried R1, which had a focus shrine. I got several prism sparks in quick succession, allowing me to do this:
In the end I had grade 114 mana traps:
I ended pre-endurance with 1.172e36 mana, the first time ever I had reached this milestone without 45 days of permafreeze farming, which says so, so much about 1.1!
The final killgem - grade 115 with amps grade 111
And the final endurance outcome:
I jumped from wizard level 11,873 to 12,963, a pretty good jump.
Oh wait, you thought I was finished?
Both traps were leeching ~4 octillion per monster, or several e32 per frame with a good amount of monsters.
So effective were my mana traps I reached e37 mana!
That allowed me to build my biggest killgem yet - a grade 118, and it was supported by grade 114 amps:
I used a 4096 killgem combining scheme on the amps and the initial 128-spec, using U twice from a grade 116 killgem and a 32 killgem combine from a grade 109 kill amp.
Sadly, the XP haul wasn't as great as I was hoping it would be :/
Even with this relatively low XP, I still jumped 699 levels to 13,662. Who knows, I might actually get that super grade 100 I was promising all those months back .
Dear Borthelcash,
in a lensmans arm race, one party has to wait for the other party! I was just happy, having 5e34 mana on my map...
You see me deeply frustrated *
Thunderrider,
as long as you don't get a g100 at f-only, I think this thread is more relevant: http://armorgames.com/community/thread/12400424/f-hextile-revisited/
"Also, on a different note, I'm kind of annoyed at how enraging waves no longer gives multiple XP bonuses." on 49 page
I just played X1 non-premium and get 15M (raw) exp from monsters and 30 M from beacons (just place lvl 17 near 40 amplifiers from kilgem). I used (mostly) lvl6 for enrage. So, what is best gem for enraging? With lvl 1 it's hard to get all monsters (250+?)...
Also, Is poolbound stronger then blood now or did I imagine it?
There is no "always the best" gem for enraging. In the early game you just have to take care, that gemcost is smaller than managain. Later on you want the monsters to survive the manatrap but not too much for your killtrap. In the endgame, you might want to anger the waves with as less gems as possible. For that last case I would recommend G68 gems, 8 of them enrage a wave of giants till 999... For the earlier stages, I often use G20 or G30... But somehow I guess, that was not the answer you wanted to read...
Orgon, I've taken to using a Grade 2 (G1 black or white, plus G1 yellow) as my enraging gem.
I keep the bombing gem in a tower next to my killing area's amplifiers, so that it shares 3 amps with my killing trap. This keeps its power relevant (up until the point where I'm about to lose Endurance anyway) despite it being only a Grade 2 gem. I keep it set to Structure, due to what you noticed, the ton of experience to be had from killing beacons.
I just bomb until monster armor is higher than my managem damage output, but because I'm using such a low grade gem, it takes quite a while for monster hit points to get higher than my killing gem's damage potential. Oh, to avoid problems with the killing gem, I keep Bolt on it. This gives me a lot of leeway with how far I can accidently enrage a wave, though at some point, as Bilbo says, I have to switch to a high grade gem and switch to Barrage in order to continue on further. That point is fairly deep into Endurance, though.
