Humanity in its early days struggled against the foundations of powerful civilizations that had been for centuries before them. It was only through the gift of magic that they were able to put their stake in the worId which became the first human city, Ithradine. From here they thrived until four tribes joined the infant kingdom each skilled in one of the four base magics, Pyromancy, Geomancy, Hyrdomancy, and lastly Aeromancy. These four 'families' became the main aristocracy and when the king died without an heir, he left in place a system to allow them all to keep power called the Magistrate. The Magistrate is led by a 'Magister' who is elected among the citizens however only the four families have ever gotten to have magisters. In this kingdom called Arcana, the four families, House Pyrane, House Oceanus, House Windel, and House Terra, keep a strained peace with the newest magister being Jerrick of House Pyrane. He leads Arcana on the path of war against the many monsters that lie beyond the ctiy's walls. Any adventurers are now given a guardian should they chose to leave the kingdom. You are one of many citizens within the kingdom, how will you make your mark upon it and the many races in and around it?

Silver: You pry the weapon from his cold grip, and with malice you parry and strike with deadly accuracy until before long those surrounded you lie lifeless on the ground. Then you see Cisna, held tightly by one of the larger brutes. You move in to take care of them when the one holding her pulls a knife to her neck. Cisna stops struggling and for a moment appears calm before you see her eyes glow purple, lavender aura coming from her eyes like flames. Large tree roots spring up from the ground and crush several of the bandits but before she can do more the large brute holding strikes her in the head with the hilt of his sword and pulls her over his shoulder, turning and making a run for it while the remaining goons fearfully stand in your way.
JACK: You head back to the forge, the man disappearing out of sight. The apprentice is helping Orion to sit up as you come in, his small groans indicating a little remaining pain "Oh hello, Orion should be ready to move and was lucky it wasn't very severe. I only caution he be careful, the body needs to adjust slowly." she says looking back at him to which Orion somewhat in defiance hops off the table "It hasn't stopped me before" he grins taking his sword and shield from the ground "Ready to go when you are." he says eagerly
Lowco: You try to teleport but a strong magical barrier blocks your attempt. You notice however it is four floors below you, the guard uniform should allow you to walk freely on the first and second floors, then afterwards the equipment should come in handing avoiding patrols.
"Orion, you have been of great use to me and I would like your assistance to continue. I would like you to accompany me on my quest. Before you answer I need you to see your men, they need to see that you are okay. Come." I say putting my arm around his shoulder to support him and motioning him toward the outside.
JACK:Orion smiles and salutes you "It would be my honor, sir. It might have served well to have them watch the civilians. They need every boost of hope now." he mentions as you go outside. Orion manages mostly on his own but occasionally you feel him lean heavily on you briefly. You notice that the corpses are already beginning to rot away as indicated by their smell. Off in the distance across the bridge you notice banners flying the army colors. It would seem that a small brigade has shown up in response to the disaster, although far too late to do any real good.
Silver: You find power in your new-found anger as you drop your physical body and tear away at the brute's life force, the other bandits running away in fear into the trees. It would seem they hardly knew any magic. The brute drops Cisna in response to your attacks, his life force quickly and violently sapping away from him. You see his age rapidly accelerate and his skin slowly shrink as cries of pain slowly lessen until finally silence once again fills the air leaving nothing but a shriveled up corpse of a large man now barely fitting his armor.
"Orion I need you to get all the civilians together, tell your guardsmen what I have asked of you, I ask the same from them. If they refuse that it there right and it shall not be held against them. Also, the civilians are becoming distressed at all the death that hangs in the air here. I ask that you clear a small area of these corpses, the area near the forge would be acceptable. I must meet our new arrivals." I say to him as I put his arm against anything that he can support himself on, "I will be back soon." I say as I make the sign of the scales (I'm just making this up but wouldn't each god have a hand signal that would be considered there own. Like the sign of the cross for Christians and the such.) as I begin to jog toward the new arrivals, once I am out of earshot from the town's people I stop and wait, preferably on a bridge or crossroads, with my hammer extended.
JACK: Orion nods at your orders "I will tell them, I have no doubt they shall follow. The bodies are decaying surprisingly quickly, I'll have the men get to work making a pile for the enemy so we burn it away. Be careful sir, there's no telling what they're here for for." he says grabbing a large shard of wood from a nearby house as a makeshift cane as he makes his way over to the men. It is doubtful any of them would have survived the attack if you hadn't arrived. The army stops about 50 yards away. What appears to be the commander dismounts his horse and makes his way to you, weapons sheathed. His armor is carved into flame like patterns, the emblem of House Pyranne stamped on his pauldrons "Hello there, I am Sir Walter Vaspar. We saw the smoke in the distance from the next town. What is the current situation?" he spoke in a very formal tone, he was quite young to be commanding such a substantial force.
Silver: Cisna lays on the ground, unresponsive at first but she slowly open her eyes, blood trickled down her cheek as she takes her time sitting up, luckly the bleeding is very minor. She hold her hand against her head wound, grimacing with pain as she nods softly "I'll be..fine. You save me again.." she managed a small smile.
I return to the guards body as i think he is the fittest, I go over to Cisna and tearing a shirt sleeve from a body i attempt to cover the wound with it. "It'll be alright, you did great back there."
I stride over to him, weapon still in hand and I stop a mere foot from him "Sir Walter Vaspar, I assume you know of what I am." I say looking down on him while sheathing my hammer.
Silver: Cisna moves her hand out of the way so you can put your cover it up. a jolt of pain expressing in her eyes as you do so "Thanks, I wish I could fight like you can." she says with smile, showing a little admiration in her eyes. Her elegant dress now tattered and ruined from the gore but she appeared to not care so much but in fact happy at your little victory
JACK: Sir Vaspar watches you carefully for sudden movements as you walk up to him "What you are is irrelevant. I can see it plainly, there are survivors, we are here to escort them to the next town and clean up this mess." he says with slight disgust as the smell reaches him. Orion and the guards have moved into the town, piling up the dead attackers and putting the dead civilians in rows so that they might be identified and properly buried later.
"Fighting is useless without something to fight for." I smile tying the bandage.
"But thank you, These bodies are a little sluggish, if I were in my original body..." When i finish with the bandage i get some of the water from the horse and bring it to her.
Silver: Cisna smiles back as you tie the bandage around her head. She begins to think about what you were like before as you bring the water over to her, taking it into her hands "Thank you, it's nice to have someone after me for once." she softly laughs as she takes a small drink before standing back up, loosing her balance for a moment before regaining it "I guess a change of clothes is next on the list.." she says examining the state of her dress. She looks around quickly before spotted one of the bandits, luckily female "I wonder if her armor will fit..." She says walking over to it, the bandit was one of those who she nailed with a head shot, keeping the armor intact and mostly blood-free.
"No. Your house shall not become more involved with this town nor it's people or goings on. I shall lead them to safety with the guard in tow. These people are my responsibility until I see that they are safe."
Silver: You check on the horses and to your surprise find that they are just startled, pacing in place as you walk over to them. Cisna drags the body slowly behind a large bush where she can't be seen changing but can hear her just barely rustle the leaves. By the time she emerges, she has ditched her dress entirely for the leather armor which was skin-tight except for the pauldrons and chest pad. Her hair was now in a single-braid that came over her left shoulder "How the horses?" she asked walking over towards you.
Jack: Sir Vaspar shakes his head "This was once our home, these people fall under the empire and therefore in my jurisdiction. You are nothing but a freelance hero and I am a high ranking officer. We will be escorting these people and you question my authority!" the anger clearly rising in his voice. By now Orion and the rest of the guards have finished with the bodies, as the smell of burning flesh fills the air.
