Humanity in its early days struggled against the foundations of powerful civilizations that had been for centuries before them. It was only through the gift of magic that they were able to put their stake in the worId which became the first human city, Ithradine. From here they thrived until four tribes joined the infant kingdom each skilled in one of the four base magics, Pyromancy, Geomancy, Hyrdomancy, and lastly Aeromancy. These four 'families' became the main aristocracy and when the king died without an heir, he left in place a system to allow them all to keep power called the Magistrate. The Magistrate is led by a 'Magister' who is elected among the citizens however only the four families have ever gotten to have magisters. In this kingdom called Arcana, the four families, House Pyrane, House Oceanus, House Windel, and House Terra, keep a strained peace with the newest magister being Jerrick of House Pyrane. He leads Arcana on the path of war against the many monsters that lie beyond the ctiy's walls. Any adventurers are now given a guardian should they chose to leave the kingdom. You are one of many citizens within the kingdom, how will you make your mark upon it and the many races in and around it?

I turn around and call out over the distance with ease, "Guardsmen whom do you follow? Whom do you take orders from? Citizens whom do you trust to lead you to safety?" I call pointedly ignoring the pompous guard.
Jack: The guardsman in unison shout "We follow you!" holding their right fists to their heart, the civilians looks at each other with uncertainty before saying "We trust you." inspired by the guardsmen resolute answer. The captain's rage grows but does not respond with anger "I will not force it this time but I will be sure to remember you." he says with restraint "Move out men, southward to the fortress." he says glaring at you as he turns his back, the soldiers still in formation turn around as well and begin to march.
"Goodbye." I say to the soldiers, I turn back and head toward the people, "Guardsmen thank you for your support, townsfolk, it warms my heart to know you trust me, but now we must leave. We must find you a new home, where is the nearest town?"
JACK: Orion nods "We have your back sir, now and until we die." he says proudly standing in front of the remaining townspeople who, all looking frightened and with looks of somber despair just before, bear small smiles. "The nearest town is Johlan. It's not as large but it should be able to cater to them until adequate housing is constructed." a guardsman other than Orion says, his armor notably less bulky and without the shoulder guards of the others.
Silver: Cisna remains silent for a moment after you ask the question "I'm doing ok, I'm just glad its over with." she says softly while raising her hand to the nearest horse and gently pets it, the horse almost immediately calming down in combination with the food. She does the same with the other one all without any expression.
JACK: The guardsmen does not hesitate with a response "They support House Windel, the underdogs of the four. They have been known to openly oppose House Pyrane's actions while the other either say nothing or support them." he says
"Good, a perfect place for good civilians. Guardsmen, please support those who need it. I shall make introductions when you enter the town so you shall be treated with kindness. If you have an objection to this plan please speak up now and I shall try to assist you as much as possible."
(Sorry for being absent for a long period, I will try to post more regularly)
JACK: The guardsmen shake their heads in unison, Orion speaks "None from us sir. Come on and help the needy." he states as the guards disperse helping the wounded and sickly who are either being carried in wagons or long slings. As you approach the town, you notice a palisade wall has been constructed around the majority of the town except for the main entrances. You can spot archers atop the wall at first with drawn bows as a watchmen descends from the nearest watchtower. The gates have already opened by the time you reach them, a contingent of soldiers emerge with swords sheathed, a young fair-skinned woman with shortly cut blonder hair and dressed in heavy plate stands in the middle. From your extensive knowledge, you notice that the heraldry on her breastplate is of the Paladin Order. As the town's forces move in to support the refugees, she approaches you directly, the soldier's moving past her like a split wave "Who are you?" she asks directly, her voice stern and commanding, clearly not messing around.
Silver: Cisna nods at your question "It was, all of my people are trained in some art of magic. There are healers, sages, and spell bladers as well as many other classes. Magic was normal in our lives, in fact we could barely live without it." she mentions. You take a look around you, the body count is close to 30 in total including what appeared to be their leader. Those that fled will likely give word of what happened however the tale would surely be hard to believe.
I look down to her, making eye-contact, as I plant my tower shield into the ground beside me with a loud thud, in a sign of openness. (My shield is beside me and not between us, so as to show trust, or something like that.) "I am a Wandering Enforcer, son to the God of Laws. I come here to seek refuge for these people and their families. They have lost their entire town to a bandit attack. We have injured men women and children. I am asking for a safe-haven for these people." I look to the new walls. "I see you too have noticed the bandits paladin, what is your name?"
The paladin closes watches as you plant the tower shield beside you, somehow watching your eyes at the same time "I am Sentinel Halcine. There has never been such a strong bandit presence before." She states formally as she glances to the refugees now being assisted by the soldiers, pausing for a moment before returning her fierce gaze towards you "Johlan will take in these people." she declares before her gaze appears to pierce through you "You are welcome to rest in Johlan." she says without another word. From the way she looks at you, it is clear she is trying to determine whether or not you are what you say you are.
"You assist the law by assisting me. You have my gratitude. I would like to speak with you alone, there are pressing matters at hand. Orion! Get the people inside, ensure they are well kept, I shall return soon."
(Not at all RazorLash, just post your character and I will get you started)
Jack: Orion gives a quick salute "Right away Sir!" his voice trailing off as he helps the rest of the people into the town, assisted by your men and Johlan's soldiers. Sentinel Halcine give a short nod "Thinking nothing of it. Of course, follow me, Enforcer." she says turning, her back towards you as she walks through the gates with every step commanding strength and elegance, fear and respect. She leads you near the center of town, a modest yet sturdy dwelling before you "We can talk freely in my quarters." she states before walking up the short stone stairs onto a small porch. She opens the door for herself and enters, trusting you to follow.
