Max level is at 51. Dragons are guaranteed to be the boss in dragon dungeons which unlock when you reach level 51. It's possible to find them in explore dungeons, but they aren't common.

i see, thanks. im kinda stuck at orc lord in prelude to violence. any specific tactics? slingshoter in the front, orc lord in the middle and mage at the back

As I recall, that particular fight isn't covered. The guide mentions that it's harder than the troll lord though. Regardless though, you should be using your elixirs.

If I had to guess, my strategy would be:
Hero in front, dagger/wand(set to kill mage in back) + shield(block).
Heroine in back staff blasting(forward).
Lucy maybe?

Ideally, you kill the mage before he gets off more than 2 shots, and hope your melee dude doesn't crumple.

Another option is hero in front with spear(set to middle)(hope to gut back mage), and heroine in back staff-blasting(she'll take a few ranged attacks, but hopefully ok).

Last option is to try to imitate what the guide has for the troll lord. Disclaimer: I have no idea if the strategies work; I don't remember what I had, and I'm L51 so I can't test.

I am getting 'Unexpected response' message after the game loads.

So, no one else is getting the 'Unexpected response' error in this game? I tried playing on chrome too.

I went back into this game over the weekend to slog through the last quest, and found it very sluggish, often hanging up on loading screens. Never got the error message, though ....

I wasn't so keen on the last dragon quest just because of the time investment -- one of the longer ones, I think. But with the recent lagging, it was even more of a chore.

Anyway, I'm done with it now. Chose the White Dragon because it was supposed to have the shortest route; I finished with 55% opened, but I could have done less. FYI short route -- Start --> South to an unlock boss --> East and then North to unlocked point, East to Stairs Up --> Southwest zigzag to unlock event, back to stairs intersection, and then Northwest zigzag to Stairs Up --> Do all five points in this 3rd floor section; one is an unlock boss and another is a portal --> Go back downstairs, zigzag southeast back to stairs intersection and then go straight West to the Stairs Up --> There are Camps directly North and South of your start point, the unlock boss directly west, and the Stairs Up (and portal) directly east -- except that you have to circle around to get to any of them; choose a north route or a south route for most efficiency --> For the 4th floor, choose a north or south route; you'll need to clear an unlock boss along the way.

Mix and Match (Use the magic cube in your stash.) I'll probably end up getting the quest a bit after I post this, but I'm on the second dungeon and I still haven't completed this quest. What is the magic orb cube?

managed to defeat orc lord with hero equipped with bow targeting back and heroine equipped with staff targeting front
using 2 elixirs and a bit of luck you can do this

@Reton8: You can find the Magic Cube, by pressing the Stash button in the lower left hand corner next to the Arena button.

@Gantic thank you. The way the quest is worded I thought the magic cube was an item in your inventory. I see the item transmuting area is called the magic cube now.

When can I start to grind for dragons in the explorer dungeons? Do I have to be at a certain level?

@Arkeyo: I wouldn't bank on randomly finding one. It is extremely difficult to finish a same-level random dungeon. Probably wouldn't reach the boss until you were five to ten levels up from it.
