@mgbt1211 do you have local save ? in case, yes quest is probably not working on local safe (tested and alsmost confirmd) the developer works on an option to switch local to internet-safe.
Anyone have tips for gifted psychopath(namely str and block)? I'm at about 200 for each, which is not hugely promising.
I've totally crushed accuracy(415/150). Tip: after 50 combo or so, start spamming shots very quickly. As long as no arrows miss, you're okay. Just hang in there and you will keep earning points, and comboing helps. It also helps a lot whenever you get 2 for 1 targets.
I've also done very well on critical(438/300?). The key is to look at the dude's neck. Going down means not to attack. Also, you'll want to play more conservatively, as there's a relatively large gap in which you can attack, but one mis-click will end your run.
Dodge was somewhat tricker(212/150). The key is to understand what key goes where first, and then start reacting faster. A mistake is almost certainly your doom. Around 70-80, you'll want to pick up the pace. For me personally, the up key dodge was the easiest, as it seemed to afford a lot of time.
Update: Figure out block (barelyish) - 352/300. I guess I concentrated on apples after about 100-150. Lag is kind of a big concern - you'll have to backtrack your shield to where it should be pre-lag then continue. Now for Str...
Critical ultra gold is 400
This one is as hard as GiveUp2. Attack one at least. Managed to do ultra gold block and accuracy so long. And with block it was about sheer luck and AAAAH THEY ARE EVERYWHERE for a last 100 apples. Attack medal would be killer.
Yeah, I don't think I'll go for Psychopath. I'm pretty sure I can get Super Gold on Dodge and Critical, but I doubt I'll get very far at all in Strength and Accuracy (I just can't do Strength and I'm just not getting the hang of Accuracy).
Woot done with all quests. Strength was a series of spamming attacks. After around 150 I began ignoring stars for the most part. I tried to annihilate tomatoes at the furthest point and then tried prioritizing lanes with the closest tomatoes. By far the hardest part of the quest for me(50k, 25k, 20k all others)
So overall,
553/352/415/212/438, wave 43 survival.
It doesn't feel as though you're getting better, but at some point, you reflexes do improve and most of the trainings are possible.
Dear lord that was hard, but I managed to get all of them. Here are some tips on the training games:
1.) Attack- easily the hardest. You need a 400 combo (I got exactly 400 and almost crapped myself). Just keep playing, it will feel like you are making no progress, but you will gradually get better...emphasis on gradually. Really the only tip is to ignore the stars after a certain point (100-150?) unless you are absolutely sure you can get it. I lost many a combo going for a star.
2.) Block- I didn't find it too terribly hard, honestly. Again just keep trying, you'll get better. Don't worry about the stars, there's basically no way to control whether or not you get them while still keeping your combo after a combo of 50.
3.) Accuracy- This was easily the easiest. I got it before I finished mission 30. Just focus on speed, not really on accuracy, and always have an arrow nocked.
4.) Dodge- This was the last one I did. It will have you feeling moronic every time you mess up but is deceivingly difficult. A huge tip is that there's no need to actually dodge at the last second to receive a perfect star. You can simply keep hitting the direction you went to dodge and it will give you the star.
5.) Critical- This one was easy once I found my groove. I kept messing up with the sound on, so I figured I'd do it without the sound. I ended up getting over 800 eventually with my computer muted. Although, I've seen comments from people who did it without even looking at the screen because each one has a different sound. Just find what works for you (muted, sound on, not looking, etc.) and roll with it. If the scarecrow moves his head down, don't click. If he moves it up, click. The timing for a perfect never changes, so you really should always get those.
THEN BAM! YOU BEAT IT!
With regards to the "true last boss," make sure that you're a high enough level with enough HP and defense, otherwise he will just one or two hit K/O you. Otherwise, after taking the time to level up and whatnot, it's a pretty easy win.
My best tip for reaching the high combo strings is to reduce lag by optimizing your PC's performance. The game doesn't require a whole lot of power to run (especially on lowest settings) so adjusting your processor power management by lowering it about 10-25% should free up extra processing capabilities and make the game run a bit smoother, allowing for greater combo potential. Also make sure to close out of alternate tabs and extraneous background processes.
As far as attack goes: learn your weapon's attack range down to the pixel. Hitting the first apple in the combo string as soon as possible will give you a slight head start on the rest and make it that much easier to hit the follow ups. Never forget that you can attack incredibly fast -- faster than the animations would have you believe. Once you know exactly when and where to hit them you don't need to look anywhere else but at the apples and picture them instead as their corresponding keys (^, >, v) so you know exactly what to press in what order before they even get to your weapon. Also, forget the perfects after about 100. They're a distraction.
For blocking I don't have many tips besides don't adjust to allow for perfects if there is something following it. You don't need them as much as you think. Also you can block every direction with your mouse inside your character's body -- you don't have to move around in a wide circle or anything like that. In fact, you don't need to move in a circular motion at all. Just move your cursor inside the body to the direction the next one is coming and it will be more like a snap-to movement for maximum accuracy.
