Thanks for all your suggestions guys! I'd like to inform you the game design of S&S2 is pretty much done, and I'm glad to tell you that LOT of stuff you mentioned will be in the game
That doesn't include multiplayer, which is impossible for us to make right now.
Here is a short list of the game features:
- World map of the Neverseen to explore. Main path + other side quests locations.
- Town to build and upgrade. Cool NPC to discover and interact with. (Blacksmith, alchemist, in keeper, other weirdos...)
- More dynamic combat system (real time dodge, block, counter, critical, etc.)
- More interesting enemies: attack patterns, abilities and Epic Boss Fight!
- Deeper Hero customization (Male/Female, More skins, skills, abilities, equipment, stats, etc.)
- Evolution in Training mini game with more features to unlock as you progress, more missions, medals, etc.
- 6 Different weapons class to upgrade/equip/loot individually.
- Unique Armor system to collect and upgrade.
- Awesome art and animations improvement
- Pets to catch and rich ally system, they will help you in fights.
- Secrets hidden in the dark...
- TONS of other stuff we want to add if we have time
Pet System Types of pets
There will be 3 sub-traits for pets. Defensive - Level 1-20 Defensive pets will do 100-500 damage an attack, and will have a 5-10% chance to block 30-35% damage from an attack. based upon the level and rarity of pet Offensive - Level 1-20 Offensive pets will do 200-800 damage an attack and a 5-10% chance to critical attack for 2-2.5x multiplier based upon the level and rarity of pet Looter - Level 1-20 Looter pets will do 100-400 damage an attack and will have a 20-25% chance to drop coins from the enemy. The looter pet will also have different things specific to that pet such as. 10% increase Xp. or faster training. just some kind of different trait that helps the training and grinding process of the game. How to obtain a pet
I believe pets shouldn't be available for use until around level 10, then from there they level up from killing people in the arena with you. not by training them.
There will have to be a special vendor that sells pets, also if its possible there could sometimes be a rare occasion that instead of a monster appearing in the arena, a rare pet appears that you can tame. This way it makes people want to grind arena's to try and find pets other than just grind training to get stronger. Other things to think about for the pet system
Food and armor for pets. magic spells that pets could sometimes shoot off.
My idea is: to choose a class, an idle system where you can do tasks to get more money and exp and my favorite, to customize your equipment, change colors, design...
The player should be able to travel between multiple regions with different stores, museums, and colloseums. When traveling to different areas you fight a small series of enemies.
I think the fights should be less turn-based and more real-time.
Also, make the fights between many people, so you can hire other people to work with you. Make the different monsters and enemies actually different, not only visually but tactically and strategically.
- More Skills & Perks ;
- Implement a squad system ; (no idle game, but yet it would be fun)
- More armors/weapons ;
- More upgrades and functionalities for the house ; (XP,dps,health, and other boosts, maybe crafting/cooking/enchanting)
- Add pets to the game?
- Multiplayer for those who could be bored by the end game ;
- More secrets, way more secrets!
- Develop gameplay through dungeons/quest system ; (cf the last sword & sandals)
- Improve combat interface : make distance, critical and other special hits more like trigged abilities with a cooldown ;
- Make characters more customizable.
