There are a few hundred numbers I could derive from this by equally rational means. I'm going to need a more exact goal than "it is a number", unless you'd like me to list all of them.
@fishpreferred I'm sure you can, but they won't fit the clue. Use the clue in quotes at the start to figure it out. The first sentence tells you what to do. The second sentence is mostly confirmation / a small second step.
I've used this puzzle on 2 different forums previously and it's been solved. So I'm sure someone here can solve it (and my others), too.
