I SHALL FINISH!
You are head of a tiny military base deep in the countryside. You have gooten news that the country has been overrun by radio and that you are being evacced by helicopter in 15 days. You have under your command a platoon of 16 men, one sniper, one medic, one demolitions expert, and the rest regular troops. These are special forces. Highly trained highly lethal. But you do not have much ammo 1 clip per man. Standard weaponry = SA 80 assault rifle However you have gotten word that your supply truck was attacked by zombies and the driver killed. You only have supplies for one day. The truck is 40 miles away definitely an overnight trek through woods and holds 30 days worth of supplies. However there is a town 5 miles away but it is densley populated and likely to be filled woth zombies. But there is a large hypermarket there chock full of food. The surrounding buildings are many apartment blocks and tightly packed terraced housing. What do you do?
6/4/09
This was the day the world was turned around for ever...
"Ah, why must we get up so dam earlie?" It was hecter, our sniper. He had a close shaved face and was about 23. he had joined our squad when he was only 17. "O come on, you should have been in vietname! It was like a hell on earth over there. You have never seen the hellish nature of battle." Our medic, ken. He was in his sixtys, and in very great shape for his age. He had enrolled in the army over 3 years ago. "...Both of you shut up." Lloyd out demo expert. He wasn't one for words, but he was a quick thinker.
It was a normal morning, with a slight spinkle falling. It was around 60 degrees, 5AM.
"YEs sir. We have report from comand that infections have been spreading. Entire citys or going down quick. There trying to asemble large groups of soldiers, but it dosnt seem like its gonna happen." "So what your telling me soldier, is that were suck out here with no supplies, while our familys and the rets of the world are killed? I said. My name is riley. Comander of this special forces squad. Even though it was against regulation, I had grown my hair out, and it was now down to my eyes, and my colar i nthe back. "Um....well sir....not really killed...they get turned into zombies." "....Dismissed private." I turned on my heal and left, this day was not going smoothly. Our supply truck wasn't comeing in, and the towns people we were here to protect from gangs are now mindles zombies that are gonna kill us. I walked to command station, and made an announcment to meet i nthe mess hall in 20 minutes. We had to make a plan of action.
"Allright. We will be divided into 4 teams. Yes hat is only four men per squad, but that should be enough. We first go east ward. About 40 miles up the road we have a supply truck bringing us much needed food and ammo. We all go as a squad to that. ONce there, we either drive it back, or carry as much as possible back here. Fro mthere, we will rest here for a day, and then branch out in move on sams club. We get i nthere, with as much as we can, and barricade every thing, leaving a spot in the roof to escape from if need be. Now, I will have Hecter, Ken, and lloyd are with me. Divide your selfs up. We met by the gate in 04 hours."
"Hey sarge um..." hecter was cut of mid sentence. "Look, I told you call me Riley. "Allright Sar.....Riley, how are we gonna do this with only 16 clips of ammo....thats only 20 shots per man." "You take it off auto. You make every shot a head shot, thats how." "But Riley..." "Your a sniper, figure it out." I left him standing there with his gun worrying bout the long walk ahed, and headed over to were ken and lloyd were sitting.
"He ken, do you think you can make this 40 miles?" I asked sitting down next to him. "BAck in Naum we had to walk 200 miles straight when were got captured! 40 Is nothing!" He syelled with a sense of pride. "Calm down, or this walk will give you a heart attack." lloyd said to irritate him.
"Lloyd, another remark like that, and you wil be staying here. We can't have you becomeing unfocused." i sighed. I had no intentions to leave him there, but I just wanted him to shut up. "Yes.....Yes Sir." He mumbled. "Allright, every form up!" I called above the cry of the screch owl in the distance...the screeck owl was an omen of dath, and definatly not a good sign.
The walk took us two and a half days. The weather had made the path swamppy, and made parts impassible. twice we had had to build bridges over over flowing rivers. When we found the truck were happy to see gas in the tank. Me and Hecter got into the frotn seat, while the rest of the squad piled in the back with the crates. We would only be able to make about half the journy with the truck, but it would be better then walking all of it. In the back were crates full of ammo, food, water, and cloths.
"Hey, sar.......Riley, What is that thing up ahead?" hecter asked squinting and pointing to a small silloet standing about a mile away. "Can you get a better look with the scope?" I ask him. He put it up to his eye and let it a soft moan. "Thats a zombie riely, they over ran the base!" "Then we go on to the town, there no need to stop now. The road wont be cluttered, becuse word would never have reached the towns people. We are the only radio with in 20 miles of here, and they didnt alert normal civilinz."
We drove to town, and when we got there were ment by dead heads wanderign all over. We drove Up to sams club, and un loaded ll of the supplys into it. We barricaded it up and stayed there.
Now before you get dissapointed with me, I ad trouble with this one. I couldnt decide what to do with it, so i just ended it.
