This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.
run/walk: they walk
scream/groan: they groan
day/night: All da time babey!
what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!
survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH
guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.
cure: there is none.
where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.
how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME
family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too. able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.
durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.
doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!
So I am going to assume that I need to be realistic. In that case, I must first guess I have heard about the outbreak on the news, and am ready to flee.
So, once I heard about the outbreak, I would gather my supplies. In my favorite backpack I would put my laptop, the charger cable, my gameboySP(with games), several water bottles, a few plastic bags, spare clothes, the .22 rifle we have, a good knife, a Swiss army knife, and food to last a few days. I would put some more food and my journal with a pen in my messenger bag, which would be over my shoulder.
After that, I would have a few days before the zombies reached my house. I live extremely far from the nearest town(I am assuming that the zombies are only active at night). I would get on my 4-wheeler, and ride down to the town. About an hour later, I would arrive in the town. I would then go over to the gas station, shoot any zombies inside, dump their corpses outside, and barricade the doors enough for the night. I would then restock my supplies, write in my journal, and plug in my laptop to get the news on the outbreak, while the internet still works.
Over the next few days I would go towards the big town, and get in the mall where the other survivors would probably be. I would then get a better gun and shoot the survivors. I like to work alone.(XD) I suppose then I would be left defending the mall for a while.
After the mall was mostly overrun but a small section that I am in, I would rush towards the military base. I would then steal a helicopter, get a crash course in flying it, and head towards the naval base.
Once I got there, I would steal a boat and live the rest of my life on the ocean, fishing for most of my food and stocking up occasionally at harbors.
Was that good enough? I tried to make it realistic, but I would have died sooner in real life anyway. Like on the first night at the gas station. Or just trying to drive the 4-wheeler.
Destor - Epic fail there dude. Hate to say it, because you write so nicely, but it misses on a lot of accounts.
(1) The zombies move day and night. It's on page one. (2) Going to the mall would certainly be a popular option, but everyone there would have a gun, and they would be just as eager to kill you. You might be able to kill one, or even two people quickly, but to start that mess, when you are already fighting for your life against the zombies, seems a big mistake. (3) Even if we assume you get to the military base, the only result of a crash course in flying a helicopter is, in fact, a crash. You would die right there. Planning on surviving in a boat on the harbor, assuming you could find a boat simple enough to control, would be very rough. Fishing is nice, but you put yourself in the middle of salt-water. Even without the problems of being so open to weather issues, and the occasional hurricane, you would not last long, and if you had water, scurvy would make you a very unhappy customer.
That's the particulars, in general it is far to pat, does not cover enough contingencies, and assumes nothing but clear sailing the whole way. No plan survives first contact with the enemy, without needing so adjustment. Heck, you didn't even post that you packed any ammo!
Oh, and FYI, if you do have a solid plan, you still need to complete a scenario.
Why? If you can create resources (have reliable food/water sources), why not just wait it out? ... Unless we're talking one of those where they don't fall apart after long enough time. If you can just last long enough, won't the zombies die out eventually?
Because 'waiting it out' implies not creating resources, in my mind. If you don't at least allude to an action in your scenario, I assume it doesn't happen. If you go back to page 154, you will see my initial plan. I don't expect most people to be as loquacious as me, but still, you need to say it, or id doesn't happen.
Thoad- I'm not sure what your your contest entails. Do you mean take any score-screen, and post something underneath? Or a specific score screen? I am confused.
By the way, there is a form of parasite that kills...
...parasitoidism, a relationship in which the host is always killed by the parasite such as moths, butterflies, ants, flies and others.
Thank you wiki.
So Thoad, as I understand this, that parasite then excretes tiny versions of itself, that go out in the saliva of a zombie, rapidly growing within the host body, and taking that new host over as well? Can they travel to the brain-area within the blood stream before growing so large? If a particular zombies body is damaged beyond use, can the parasite eat it's way free, and try to infect someone else?

after you die, it gives you the choice to submit your score, I want you to take a screenshot at that, and whoever has the highest score gets a shiny badge saying that you died with a score of ___ lol.
Erm, I know how to pilot a boat very well though, I could do that part with little problem.
And what did you mean by "a scenario"? And I would use my stealth to kill the guys in the mall, I was counting only on 10 or so people being there.
Can I try again? The only experience I have with surviving zombies is a game with over 50,000 survivors, and I prefer being a zombie in that anyway.
Um, ok I know what to change for the next time. If I can try again it will be much less fail. I still have a question- Let's say I take a shotgun to one of the z's(common zombie terminology where I come from. Zed works as well.) faces. Would it get back up in a bit? Can you kill them with fire? What about sticking a grenade down its throat? You would die, but would it?

it can, but that would lead to a failed zombie. It's pretty rare though. It would just end up killing the parasite (by crushing it) or breaking the skull open.

Just a tip, if you have a skill, let us know in your post. What kind of boats do you have skill with? You went to a navy base, probably more destroyers then yachts.

There are numerous scenarios laid out in the threads, pre-set situations that can respond to. You can find one already out there, or I'll be willing to make one for you specifically, once you have completed a good plan.

Always!

The shotgun issue would rely on the damage done to the head. From any real distance, you would only tear up the flesh, and the brain casing would probably be intact. Various viruses state a different response to fire by the zombies, but Thoads virus, which is the main one here, makes fire a less then viable option. A standard grenade down it's throat would destroy the brain-casing, and the parasite, yes. But as you mentioned, you would also die.
