This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.
run/walk: they walk
scream/groan: they groan
day/night: All da time babey!
what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!
survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH
guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.
cure: there is none.
where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.
how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME
family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too. able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.
durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.
doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!
Alright, I'm gonna try again. Ok, I'm gonna use the first part of the last thing but add what I forgot. And I will use Thoad's that is in the OP. I forgot to re-read it for the actual post.
Oh, I have used a pontoon boat, a small fishing boat, I can work a sail, I can use a canoe or kayak, and I could almost definitely use a yacht.
I have heard about the outbreak on the news, and am ready to flee.
So, once I heard about the outbreak, I would gather my supplies. In my favorite backpack I would put my laptop, the charger cable, my gameboySP(with games), several water bottles, a few plastic bags, spare clothes, the .22 rifle we have, Ammo for it this time, a good knife, a Swiss army knife, and food to last a few days. I would put some more food and my journal with a pen in my messenger bag, which would be over my shoulder.
After that, I would have a few days before the zombies reached my house. I live extremely far from the nearest town. I would get on my 4-wheeler, and ride down to the town. About an hour later, I would arrive in the town. I would then go over to the gas station, shoot any zombies inside, dump their corpses outside, and barricade the doors enough for the night. I would then restock my supplies, write in my journal, and plug in my laptop to get the news on the outbreak, while the internet still works.
Ok, after this I would be stuck for a bit. Not knowing where to go, I would be forced to head down to the other town with a supermarket. Once I got there, I would have to deal with the zombies. I would probably make some pipe bombs( I do know how to make these), and get a much better gun at the nearby gun store. After that I would head down to the market, with the zeds inside. Breaking into the store, I would throw my pipe bombs at anything that moves. Soon the store would be cleared, after all it is a small town. Once it was cleared, I would start moving things to be a barricade, and finally I would restock and wait. In the morning, I would do three things. 1.I would go to the hunting store(I am clearing all of the places I go out with the bombs now) and get a really nice backpack and sleeping bag, along with a better 4-wheeler that has cargo space.(I have seen those at the store.) 2. I would fill up this backpack and storage space, and get a sleeping bag. 3. I would head for the hills, and over time make a shelter with ample defenses and other things, restocking at the town every week. Once I felt I had a good enough base, I would work on getting a ship. After I found the ship(pontoon boat probably) I would get on it, and head for another country. If the infection was around the whole world though(I saw the news, so I would know this) I would then have to get over to a small island where I could fish and grow plants to live, using my boat to get whatever else I need.
Was that one better? I tried my best, but I have little knowledge of things. I also can do everything I said I did, though I would have a little trouble at parts.
The reason for taking it is because I find myself incredibly bored during the day when I can't play games, and I think that there will be a little bit of time when I am doing nothing.
Also, I forgot to mention that I would get a portable power generator on the island, and get fuel for it on my weekly excursions.
I can't really answer you question though, you would need the creator or a person who has posted more times than just today.
The reason for taking it is because I find myself incredibly bored during the day when I can't play games, and I think that there will be a little bit of time when I am doing nothing.
Yeah I guess that would be an okey idea, I mean the "Zombie ledgend" is said, that most of the time, someone goes mad, from hearing all the moans, screams, grunts ect ect. Maybe with your mind preocupied it might not happen.
And I guess I'll wait for the creator, though what do you do in this thread? Is it a role-play?
You are supposed to say what you would do if a zombie virus infected the world, but you and possibly some others are immune/uninfected. And I wouldn't go crazy... I already hear things that aren't there and I am not crazy, yet. Besides, I would have to re-stock at malls, where I could get some games to play and have fun with. It is a lot better idea than most people think.
Okey well I would probley be screwed...but if I were a Movie star type of action hero, then I gusse I would:
I would (depending on the time) wake up from bed, then when I'm all set and done, I would have to go to school. And let's say the outbreak did not occure until everyone was in school. So when the outbreak dose happen, I would first be shocked. (Maybe frozen in fear)
When the time arives I would then have to close the door, cheaking if anyone was infected or not. (the two answeres are)
A) There are none who are infected,
So, then I would close the door, and barricade the door, with desks and all the heavy items. For a limeted supply of food, we would have our lunch, those who brought some from home. Then, I would have to find some way to block the (un opeanable) windows. There we would have to wait, and have some hope for help. Equip the best we can with weapons, like siscores, ect...Ultimatly staying in the class would get us killed.
B) There is someone bittin
I guess on that ocassion we would have to somehow eliminate that threat, and ultimatly try to escape. Seeing as my whole class may just run out of the room, and try to get to some place safe/home. Eiather way, we wold probly be screwed, beacuse I do not have acsess to the weapons of chioce.
Can someone fill me in? (I read the first post, but there may have been changes....ps...Big Zombie fan so yeah)
we have made something called scenario's, which are a new requirement. you need to answer a scenario, and then your in the club if they are decent ones.
that's pretty much the reason why it's been going on, plus, it gets popular every now and again.
That's a much better effort Destor, but still a few comments and nitpicks.
(1) I think the Gameboy is fine, you're going to need something to keep you from going insane. Not sure how long it would last, but those things are small, and worth the space a couple of Twinkies could have taken.
(2) Not sure a pipe bomb would be a great zombie killer. A good zombie wounder, but they would hit the ground before going off, probably leaving you with a lot of crawling zombies, with the occasional death. Curious where you are finding the material for the bombs though. Do you have access to C4? It would be counter productive to take the powder out of bullets. Are you making the dry-ice variety? Honestly I wouldn't know where to get any in my town. In addition pipe bombs tend to be pretty noisy, they might easily attract more zombies then they disable/kill.
(2)(a) Your Pipe bombs just damaged much of what you wanted to collect/save.
(3) I'm not sure kayak experience is the same as operating a boat big enough to live on, but I'll let that slide. Engine driven yachts are easy, sail driven yachts need more them one person to work the sails and the rudder at the same time.
(4) The grocery store. Remember, the more obvious resources are going to be looted by a lot of survivors. Worth checking? Yes, but not a good thing to rely on.
(5) Generator. Good thinking! Fuel would probably dry up within half a year, but great to have while it lasts. If you can find a generator that works on natural fuels, that's a bonus.
(6) Building a storehouse of supplies. Good idea. I would like more specifics on the kinds of things you would 'hope' to find though.
(7) Other countries. By pontoon boat, I'm not sure how far you could go, to be honest. Also, as you suggested, there would be no purpose, it's everywhere.
(8) Island. I will be generous and assume you mean a fresh water island. The zombies that arise from Thoads virus do not swim, and require oxygen, so as long as there is some distance between you and shore, that would be a good place. Is there any such place near where you live? It would be good to find out.
I would need to know more about your location, but vitamin C could become a problem. If you grab the vitamin tablets, they lose efficacy pretty quickly. Obviously there are ways, but it's good to know what they are.
1. Yeah, I have a pocket in my backpack that only it and, like, the pen would fit in. That and a few games w/ charger is very little space.
2. I meant using bullets, yes. And the other explosive items I have around my home. I also would shoot of their limbs I guess, after they were down. If I stay away, I am fine.
2a. I would wait until they got near the door, around the stupid magazines.
3. I know how to use a boat, okay? Enough said about that. And yeah, I wouldn't use a sail boat anyway that was just to let you know.
4. There are 100-1,000 survivors on Earth as a whole. My town has about 500 or less people in it, I doubt many of them will be survivors.
6. I would get supplies such as ammo, water, food, fuel, explosives. The works, you know.
7. I would bring fuel with me, and as it is everywhere I would only need to get to a big lake with an island.
8. Yes, fresh water. I would get vitamin C by grabbing Emergen C by the boatload. Ah, I know plenty of islands near where I live, in lakes. Also, when they freeze I would blow the ice with placed explosives. It can't layer if you don't let it.
I don't know if it is all right to edit like this, but really it is just re-thinking my plan so I could survive.
remember these few tips people! 1. Always make traps if you plan to be in one place for more than a week. 2. Staying in one place for more than a moth would probably e the worst choice. 3. AVOID CONTACT.
OK, I am not a very big fan of the going to an island idea.
Your chances of finding an island with out many people, and that can sustain life is nearly impossible. Yio uwould most likely run out of food while there, or gas while trying to get there or back. Also, there is the issue of storms which could easily kill you out there.
i still strogly suggest a gas station.
Anyhow, for Desotr, bringing a laptop would be rather stupid. Power will be off within a few days, and unless it is like double A powered, you wont have much luck using it.
should there be a zombie attack, I still recommend making use of a bank vault!!! Seriously dude, think of it, only C4 and dynamite could blast through that, and there's air vents as well. if you make a panic room there, you would be prolonging you doom for at least 2 more weeks if it's moderately stocked. Also, it's a very reliable place to sleep. You can't seriously think of sleeping so easily for the first week or so when your life was turned upside down and the world turned into zombie heaven. Canyon's would also be a very good place to stay, there's plenty of food there, and onions are easy to grow for sustenance as far as veggies. Zombies would have one place to come from, above. They would all fall to pieces when they hit the bottom, so it's pretty much ideal to make some sort of cave, then even a house if you have any experience at carpentry. Of which I do. The Grand Canyon also has large rivers at the bottom, so that is a reallly ideal place to sleep and overall live, especially since it kills off most zombies. Yes, droughts are in the medium amount, but the thing is, there's ALWAYS water down there. I'd head there ASAP, since I'm in the NM-California area as well.
Well, I would dump the laptop when it was out of power, duh. And didn't I say the island would be in a lake? I could live on the islands I know. I did, actually. For a week. With supplies that I could get by scavenging.
But anyway, I guess the canyon idea would be good, except I don't think that I live near any canyons. I would like to point out once again that if there were only 100-1,000 people on Earth, I would be one out of maybe ten that would be in my area, it has very small population.
I don't know any banks near me with big vaults like that, I think. How would you get in without ruining the safety?
And the island again, I would 1. bring gas 2. grow my own food mostly (I can do this) 3. Make a bridge, maybe. One I could cut and then reel back in to re-tie. 4. Yeah, I thought traps was a given. I did say defenses for the camp.
Hey, should I make a plan for when I am at my other house? I probably should, it could happen at any time. I don't have a gun there though, but I do have a MACHETE!!!
I was removed... well here's my effort to come back in!
(1> Wake up in post-apocolyptic world. (2> Panic (3> Check house for intruders/beaks/holes/etc (4> After clearing house collect necessary supplies (Food, water, etc (5> Repair house with whatever I can find abd barricade windows and doors (6> Keep lights out or low, and conserve supplies (7> Live as long as I can on supplies, and build weapons and gadgets to occupy time (8> Prepare to leave house for food/water/weapons/safer area (9> Obviously survive!
