Details about door and window
Well, I live in Spring, Texas, which is just north of Houston.
Thanks?
While that does sound bad
Yeah, you're in Texas.
it's far enough that I wouldn't have 4,000,000 zombies breathing down my neck. More like 20,000.
Only for the near future.
Anyway, the first place I would go is my school.
While magically bypassing all zombies near your house and not getting any supplies, thoughtful.
That might sound insane, but there are literally dozens of defensible locations, 360 degree views, and an extremely dense forest surrounding, with only one entry point.
I don't see schools having "dozens of defensible positions". Most places have 360 views, they're called roofs. Dense forest surrounding it. Great, now you can't see zombies or other survivors until they're on top of you. No. your school have more than one entry, that is a complete lie. Overall a poor choice of location.
I would get there via my dad's car, a 2008 Nissan Sentra, which is fast, has 32.0 MPG, and can carry around a lot.
Not the ideal vehicle but I guess it's all you have for the moment.
I wouldn't bring a lot of food, as I don't have much.
That's not that great. At least you didn't lie.
I would bring my lawnmower, computer, my mom's 12 gauge shotgun (no ammo), and some extra supplies.
Lawnmower - Useless (Will expand later)
Computer - Going to be useless in the very near future.
12 Gauge - Not a good weapon in the first place. With no ammo it's less useful than a baseball bat.
Supplies - Expand please.
Once I got to my school, I would immediately board up any and all downstairs windows, and smash out all of the top ones.
There's no metal reinforcing bar? Anyways, your lack of tools and the fact that the doors are not wood will make this very hard.
There is a ledge on the roof, which is 10 feet or so to the top of the building and has 8 or so windows around it, which are connected to the main hallway on the second floor and 4 or 5 class rooms.
I think I understand?
I would board up the hallway side, and leave the classrooms alone.
Are you saying you're sitting on the ledge?
After all of this, I would barricade the entrance to the entire area as soon as possible, and begin venturing outside for more supplies.
You can't explore after locking yourself in.
So, you're stuck on the roof of your school with no food or weapons while surrounded by a forest? That's not a survival plan, that's a death trap.
Follow upOver a thousand desks and then large lunch tables. That also makes up all of my metal supply as well.
What are you going to do? Punch them apart?
Ladders leading to the roof. A couple of them. Assuming zombies can't climb ladders.
]
No, they can't.
No. 12 gauge shotguns are big. I can use it for a variety of reasons. A hammer, a melee weapon, stuff like that. And if I get some ammo, zombies heads will start to become pulp.
It wouldn't work as a hammer. It wouldn't be a great melee weapon, you can find much better. You aren't finding shells at your school and even if you did it's a horrible choice of weapon.
Generators. Lawnmowers can make awesome makeshift generators.
And my computer because I don't want to go insane with the horribly slow computers at school.
I want to know how this is done and where you will find the materials to do it and the gas to keep the lawnmower running. Also, forget the computer. No power, no internet, no time.
Other than the entrance, there's a lot of 'offroad' spaces around here to get there. But I won't argue.
Yeah, and you're driving a Sentra.
I am NOT walking, which would be my only other option.
Get a bike, I'm sure you or a neighbor has one.
There, are you happy now?
