This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.
run/walk: they walk
scream/groan: they groan
day/night: All da time babey!
what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!
survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH
guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.
cure: there is none.
where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.
how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME
family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too. able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.
durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.
doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!
alright, now then we need to brainstorm. WE are dying, really bad. In order to dominate the world, we have to at least be more active and less spammy than the bunny world domination club. So again, brainstorm.
I thought the ZTF would at LEAST spark some interest in the other members, if you still haven't heard of it, here it is.
Thoad, since this club is very text based, most users will avoid it, simply because they do not care to read or write. This also leads to less popularity in the ZTF, because it is even more writing and reading.
It's several months into the outbreak, and most of humanity is either in hiding, or eaten, or turned. You have a small haven in the wilderness that is mostly self-sufficient with occasional scavenging into the hot zones. There are six survivors including you living there.
What sort of tactics do you train the scavengers for? Three survivors have to stay at the base when the scavengers leave, so how do you train the survivors so that when the group of four leaves, they make it back intact, with enough goods to keep you going?
Strength training? Squad based tactics? Be specific and thorough, losing one person is like losing a limb. What kind of equipment would each member carry etc?
*safeguard* Cenere, despite my quitting I won't let you bastardize my Baby thread without the authorization! That's final -.-
Answer to zombie attack simplified into two words: Twelve Gauge.
Karoc, drop that idea right there because it's utter sh**. Twelve Guage pump action (or any type actually) will surely get you dead. Why? Because they're loud and attract more zombies. Plus, they only work at close range. So then, make an ACTUAL PLAN next time, why don't you? :P

Anyway, since noone seems to want to answer it: First thing first. The survivors staying back should probably be the ones with the best training, at least one, but preferable as many as possibly. These people cannot just flee like the scavengers can, if there is trouble, but have to defend the - haven. This also means there should be a good warning system, strings and bells, or just strings, something warning effectively, but without making too much noise. If the zombies are Goliat (or Hungers), making a system that can work both ways (making a nonsounding, but effective warning to the people staying, as well as making a little noise/distraction where the zombies are, would be preferable. This way the zombies could be dealt with, while distracted. As for the scavengers, it is more important to be agile and fast, than be strong and massive. You might be able to take out a lot of zombies that way, but it is usually a better solution to simply flee, especially as the noise from a fight would alarm more zombies, especially in hot zones. Any training would probably be going on effectively dealing with intruding zombies, and to defend yourself. Not strength, but being agile, and being able to use the improvised weapons, weapons with the same basal abilities as axes, which would mean not so strong people can bring down the zombies without too much effort, and without firing shots. /random
How about makeshift weapons you can make in a kitchen? personally, I'd get some duct tape from the utility drawer and tape the handle of a large, freshly sharpened knife to the end of a sturdy wooden broomstick between the fridge and pantry. What about you guys?

no... most broom stick handles are wooden and therfore cannot support repeated swings of a cleaver on the end before snapping. the handle would have to be 7 inches... to support that force.
not zombies noooo
less retards = less zombie bait ========= however, if you took out one of the drawers and stomped off the bottome and tore off one of the sides giving you a wooden plank of 2-3 feet in length, you could then create a mid-ranged weapon to fend off the zombies.

I was actually talking about using it in a stabbing motion, so I wouldn't be attaching a cleaver.
