Me: I'm 5'4", 129 pounds, slightly out of shape, but I have quick reflexes. I'm also an above average shooter, and I have hunted deer and bird before. I'm fairly strong, being able to bench 90-110 in weight. I have a lot of back strength as well.
My home: My house doesn't have much in the way of supplies, and staying there is suicide. I have several manual tools, nothing electric, and a hammer that can crack a skull open in one hit, no joke. If you need pics, I can provide. I also have a large tool box, and a few dozen nails. Nails can be picked up later, on scavenging missions. As for guns, I have a shotgun, but no ammo. I would take it, but it's about 4 ft long, and around 20 pounds. And seeing as I have to take my tool box, which weighs around the same, but is much smaller, it'll have to do. My food would consist of around 20 cans of different types of food. Any nutrition that needs to be made up can come from my dads' supplument store, which consist of vital vitamins, Vitamin C, A, B12, and calcium. This should be fine for the time being, although I'll probably have to raid a CVS or Walgreens for some more. My transportation would be a slightly armored Sentra, which is quiet, powerful, and fuel efficient. I'll probably end up driving on the sidewalk, but it's all I have, as walking with that much stuff will kill me. This should cover just about everything, and I may be able to fit in my bike. There is one other thing I'll take: My dads Perfect Pushups. Those things are freaking bad a*s, and they are awesome for upper body strength. They are also extremely compact.
The plan: My first and foremost problem is my dad. He WILL be infected, as he is exposed to many people everyday, including the most likely carriers, lowlifes and *cough* crack w*ores, and will probably come home in a panic. This will be a race against time. He would probably call me, and if he isn't zombified by the time he gets home, he'll have a bad surprise waiting on the other side. There's a ledge just above the main entry point, the garage door, that I can easily reach but is still difficult to reach. I would attain myself some rope from the backyard and make a slipknot, making sure I can drop it onto somethings head. Once he arrived, assuming he is in fact a zombie, I would drop it on his head and around his neck, tighten it, and jump right off the ledge on the opposite side. I would essentially hang him, and this should incapacitate him. It is unlikely that he should escape, as the more he struggles, the tighter the knot gets. If it doesn't cut his head off, I will proceed to grab one of my 12" knives and repeatedly stab him. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't even think about killing him, as I have enormous respect for him, but my survival drive is quite high, and I do not have a propensity for empathy (something I regret, but it's in my character make up), so feeling bad isn't going to happen. Once I do this, I will load up everything in the 'My Home' section, as well as some knives, and if possible, my dogs. I'll also load up an extra gallon of gas. Some batteries would also come, as well as household cleaners. Once this is done, I'm out of there. I'll drive up on the sidewalk if I have to, but I'm leaving Spring. I'll hit up some small convenience stores as well as a drug store on the way out, and I'll try at a gun store or four. Now is what comes next.
If I find survivors: I will proceed, if possible, to a farm. Preferably a farm with a lot of pesticides and ammonium nitrate. I would set up shop, and scavenge from nearby stores. With my survivors, I will keep round the clock watch, and if anything suspicious appears, that person, be it me or another, will wake the other(s) and we'll find out it they are friendly or otherwise. If not, they die. That simple.
If I do not find survivors: I'm going to go as far west as possible, and onto the prairie. I'll attempt to find a lone home there, and stock up with what I can carry. A gun, a hammer, and some food. From there I'll go as far as I can with the car, and when I run out, walk forever. Staying in one place with no less than 4 people is suicide. If I only find one or two survivors, this is what I'll do.
If there are any questions, ask.
This is everything.
