The I-phone does come with a stylus doesn't it? it is on the back f the phone and you pull it out right? or so i've heard, but anyways I don't think its sexist I think that the I-phone creators didn't realize that the fingernail issue was going on at such a large amount of women, also if they don't like that it doesn't come with a stylus then go buy one or trim your fingernails and stop complaining and I think the jury will definitely vote in favor of the defendant (Microsoft) and the lady is going to wonder why she lost, and that reason is, it's a stupid reason to sue someone over a phone that they purchased with their money doesn't have a stylus, if they knew it didn't have a stylus then why did they buy it? Who knows, but I do know one thing, and that lady is a complete imbecile.

she is really bold for trying to sue one of the largest corporations on thplanet but she could make something out of it.

Bold? More idiotic than bold. She's like most other Americans suing to make a quick buck because corporations will do anything to resolve legal issues quickly or their stock suffers.

Those saying Apple will simply pay her off, are probably right. And I don't think the iPhone comes with a stylus pen, but you can purchase one from eBay for cheap. Or better yet, don't buy the iPhone, but some other touch-screen phone.

I agree, and doesn't it come with a stylus?

No, the iPhone and the iPod Touch does not come with a Stylus.

The entire point is to use your fingers, hence, the phrase: "touch-screen technology".

You have to buy a third party product that creates &quotens" specifically for touch-screen technology (i.e. Pogo!)

Did you say Microsoft? We are talking about the Iphone not the zune or windows, its Apple who owns the Iphone.Anyways why are so many people asking whether or not they already came with a stylus. If they did then this thread wouldn't even exist. It's common sense, something alot of people nowadays don't seem to have anymore.Anyways lets just watch how this turns out, and in the end you guys can all go I told you so when Apple pays her off.

If Apple pays them off then Mr. Jobbs' and his associates have no balls and will never get any of my business. They should be ashamed of themselves if they give into her plea for free money. I can't buy a toaster and say "it burnt my toast" and get money from a settlement. Someone needs to back up before they get smacked up.

@WeeMan147, Actually I think someone did sue a company for it burning their toast, and someone else sued a company because they didn't say it couldn't dry their cat. There have been some crazy lawsuits out there. You can actually sue someone for literally anything, and its not just nowadays its been like that, but that doesn't mean you will always win your case. Most people don't of course.

I am aware that people make crazy law suits, but that wasn't my point. My point WAS that big companies need to learn how to stand up for themselves. McDonald's got pushed around by some dumb chump and that dumb chump got rich off of it. If I had a large business and someone did that I would say that it's too bad and would not let them get a dime. They can try to drag my name through the mud, but I would at least stand by my product. That's my point.

Crimsonblade I have common sense but I have a friend that has an I-phone and I saw her pull a stylus out of the back of it so i figured it came with it and touch screen isnt always referencing "fingers" when they say touch, touch could mean poking it with a pencil or some other object, but don't rip on my comment because I got the company wrong, to me apple and Microsoft are the same corporation I don't memorize every brand name there is and I know this is kind of stupid of me but isn't apple and Microsoft the same company to anyone really? they both make computerized things etc. I suppose I don't understand the difference but I do know for a fact I have plenty of common sense and I'm not stupid because I made a simple mistake O.K.?

True there are things in the software programs between Apple and Microsoft. The key difference between the two of them is that Apple is mainly used for videos and picture presentations. Microsoft can do this as well, but the problem is that the load time is longer than an Apple.

Indeed there are crazy lawsuits that have passed, but when it comes down to it money is power.

As far as corporate companies getting pushed around, from what I've seen is that many companies are indeed taking a stand. As you may recall the McDonalds coffee lawsuit the woman won her case because it was a matter of corporate responsibility. Most of us know that freshly made coffee shall actually burn our skin, however, not all of us actually know that. Shortly after this lawsuit, do we remember the other famous lawsuit that was filed against McDonalds?

Another woman was suing McDonalds for making her two daughters fat. However, McDonalds did take a stand on this one. In court their lawyers stated that the lawsuit was ridiculous and that it was an issue of common knowledge that fast food was bad for them. The epilogue: McDonalds won that case because the woman didn't provide enough proof to show that their McDiets were making them fat.

@Weeman:

But when a company garners negative attention, their stocks may suffer as a result. Companies opt to settle out of court simply because it:
a) Saves them money on expensive lawyers (Yes, I do realize they're going to have to give even more money to the defendant) and b) Their stocks don't suffer as much.

Stand by your product all you want, you just won't get the money trickling in, to improve your product or anything else for that matter.

Haha, that is how the woman made it big off McDonald's. It was originally only going to be thousands of dollars but McDonald's refused. Eventually t got to millions of dollars and they decided to pay. It is sad but you can sue for anything. Basically the case just turns into "If I pay you off, will you shut up?"

Since I'm the owner of this subject I would like to get everyone's final thoughts and opinions on this conversation.

I'll start us off.

To me this issue is more of personal responsibility. If it was a matter of corporate responsibility then I would under stand the lawsuit.

One size doesn't really fit all.
