But anyways i think that guns are fine and should not be made illegal or anything if that is what you are hinting at.

I think that the age you can purchase a gun at should be 14. Because 21 is when you also can drink, and you are in college. So a drunk kid in college who owns a gun...i think you can see where i am getting at. Also at that age, the immaturity level is just to high to own a gun. Of course that is not the case with all 21 year olds, just a lot or even the majority of them.

I feel that guns should not be sold to regular people I think that we need to have more strict laws on guns, and have less people able to purchase them. I also think that violent crimes with guns should have more severe consequences.

Guns do not kill people why do people not get that the gun will not fire on itself it needs a person to do that people that have seen a gun in a picture or a crime show do not understand you have to learn about guns guns are fine people are the ones that do it

I think it's a good idea to sell guns to the public. As long as they have a license to use them. Or at least let them keep a gun without a liscense solely for self-defense

Hmm. If there is no easy acquirable way thats efficient as guns, then I'm with you.

Now, most crimes having to do with guns are committed by gangs and such. Where'd they get their weapons from?

there guns are illegal and if anyone lives in Toronto then they know of miller who is the mayor and banned guns but what will that d criminals will still have them so he isn't targeting them he is targeting the public

I do think guns should be banned. There is no need for them. Saying guns don't kill people is stupid. Yes, the person pulls the trigger but the gun itself causes the death. Like Super said, there are other ways to kill someone but they require much more skill.

Riots are not going to break out if guns are banned. Guns should only be used in the military. As for hunting, there are other methods such as bows and arrows. Self defense with a gun is not really self defense. If you hit someone with a bat, they don't die so you are defending yourself. If you shoot someone, they most likely die so you are actually not defending yourself. You are committing a crime even if you just thought it was to protect your safety.

Just like drugs, people can smuggle them in, but more importantly the guns will be mostly distributed to those against the laws, and then the law-abiding citizens will become more paranoid.

Guns shouldn't be banned, just limited. Then again, like others wrote, dealers will acquire guns internationally and simply sell them on the street. If anything, arms trafficking should be the real target, "guns" is a vague and general target. You must stop or at least curb the amount of illegal gun sales.

How that will be accomplished -- I really don't know.

Guns aren't all bad. I have a friend who works mid-nights at a gas station, and he almost got robbed, but he always has a shotgun under the counter, and it saved his life. I can't really tell you where I stand on guns, it is a gift yet a burden.
