Necro, no actually i haven't. I'm not a fan of movies made out of books...except for of course LOTR which ironically is my favorite movie (the last one)...and neither is my teacher, in fact he hates them. So i'll have to go look it up on my own time. Although, i think it will ruin the book, which as i said was amazing...
I am currently on When The Wind Blows. I actually just finished it. It is an excellent book that i think anyone will love. It's by James Patterson (he does great novels).

For the most part movies made out of books suck. You just can not portray what is written in a book.
There are a few good ones though. An example is The Lord Of The Rings. Those were outstanding movies and the books were mindbogglingly good.
An example of a bad movie series is Harry Potter. The books will blow your midn with there brilliance and how in depth they are, but the movies absolutely suck and give the series a bad name.
@quakingphear, i just finished The Count of Monte Cristo about a week ago for a summer reading assignment for school, it's amazing.
the book i'm currently reading though is called The Brothers Karamazov. it's a Russian classic that challenges the existence of god and asks all of man's ultimate questions supposedly.
I"m reading three: Norman Mailer's "An American Dream," Steven Kings "The Dark Half" and William Gibon's "Neuromancer." I just finished rereading Hemmingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" an amaziny book btw.
Oh, also pretty soon (once the leaves begin to change colors) I'm going to reread "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury, an amazing book by an amazing author.
