They say bush misqoutes, well heres some of obama's.

"I have been to all 57 states."

It was memorial day, and this is what obama addressed to a military crowd[not exact saying]

" HEre on memorial day, we honor those who have gave their life for this country, including some in the audience today."

yeah, and McCain said that Pakistan and Iraq had a border. They both make mistakes, when you're speaking SO mucn and so often it's udnerstandable. I don't hold it against either candidate.

Well, I would imagine so, seeing how it might be difficult to speak in front of an audience without some sort of rhetoric prepared.

But, honestly, with all the stress of running for president, I can understand making mistakes. Stuff happens.

At least Obama wasn't talking about OB-GYNs and how they practice love with women haha.

They offered their lives, yes, but that doesn't mean they were taken. You can look at it differently, and it really isn't so silly.

Yes but as it was a memorial day, it was a bit of a blunder in that context.

It just shows that most politicians are bumbling fools if you take their precious teleprompters away...

So what? Everyone says something backwards or stupid sometimes. I know I do, especially when I am tired, lol. But just because you get your words mixed up, doesn't mean that anyone thinks less of your intelligence. And yet, when a politician does it, for some reason it is a very bad thing?

Well that's because there famous and there in the government. So people expect them to be perfect and do everything right and basically be gods. That's just the way people are. And every tiny little mistake is broadcasted and made hugely public.

I mean, take Palin. She was just announced as VP, and already there's a story of the pregnancy of here daughter (which is not that big of a deal).

Yea, its so silly! How can someone really question the intelligence of a self-made man like Obama? He went to a darn good school, and has gotten far in politics. Without the help of a political family *cough* Bush! *cough*

Yeah, I agree with Ricador, none can be perfect. All the press does is record every word the presidential canidates say, and then play them back 1,000 times to try to see if they said something wrong. You seriously have to give these people some credit through, because I can imagine that running for President could get a little stressing and that you would make a few mistakes here and there. And if you say that all politions are stupid, that's like saying that the people who run the greatest country in the world are stupid. Sure some of them are not as smart as your avrage person, but as I said before, you still have to give them some credit. Imagine if you switched places with any of the presidential canidates, then you would know how much effort it takes to do what they are trying to do. So give them a break, and stop pointing out every little mistake they make. It's just not right.

Well, sometimes I feel for them. If you were alone on a stage in front of thousands of people, you would probably do the same thing. But many of them on all sides of the political scale have an agenda to protect, and they studder through their Q&A sessions to keep it that way.

Sarah Palin did the same thing. 24 years ago, she was a regular college student. I'd bet that she would have never guessed that now she'd be running for VP.
