They say bush misqoutes, well heres some of obama's.

"I have been to all 57 states."

It was memorial day, and this is what obama addressed to a military crowd[not exact saying]

" HEre on memorial day, we honor those who have gave their life for this country, including some in the audience today."

About Sarah Palin, she thinks that the Iraq war is God's plan.
God I wish there were more intellectuals so Mccain gets no votes.

But her is a news on it before that interview though.

Palin is a nut job. She also wants Creationism taught in schools, worked with the "Pray Away the Gay" movement, betrayed the voters who wanted her governor for the Ketchikan bridge, and had a puerile pointless speech at the RNC. She is also politically corrupt; she fired underlings who disagreed with her politics like the Wasilla chief of police and librarian, she also took money from large corporations. Furthermore how can we expect her to help lead the nation if her 17 year old daughter is pregnant and her eldest son couldn't get into college because of his drug history.

Personally, I think she is saying that she _hopes_ this is all in God's plan, and that it will all work out. I don't think she was implying that Jesus wants us to be over in Iraq blowing holes in peoples' heads. But I guess it's easy to misconstrue, and therefore good ammunition for people that don't want to see a Republican president.

I think you'd probably do well to actually research a bit on that manner of stuff, instead of just regurgitating things that are said by media comentators.

Wow, way to take potshots at someone because of "mistakes" that their children made. I hope that, one day, when you've got children, you're denied a job because your son got busted for underage drinking, or a breaking and entering, or something. That is absolutely the biggest line of crap that Palin naysayers and slinging right now. Teenage children do all manner of absolutely retarded things, and there isn't anything that parents can do about it, aside from being absolute tyrants and locking them in their room all day and night long. Now, assuming that you're gnawing on Palin's backside, I'm going to assume that you're a Democrat. What I find funny is that the same people that chant "Pro Choice! It's a woman's choice, she can do whatever she wants!" are blathering about a 17 (almost 18) year old pregnant girl. Talk about hypocrisy.

What you people need to focus on (instead of trying to analyze the shortcomings of VPs that have nothing to do with the election) are the platforms that the respective candidates are running on. Look at their proposed tax plans, for example.

Obama's Tax Plan: Play to our pockets. Instead of taking money directly from us, take it from the people that give us our paychecks. Obama wants to increase the tax on S Class Corporations (little corporations) to close to 40%. Brilliant. Let's take the lifeblood of virtually every American city and take 40% of the money they make away from them. Oh, and it gets better. So you're not a corporation, you're a sole proprietorship or partnership. Well, say goodbye to 50.3% of your income. That's right - over HALF of the money you make is going away. Why? Well, because it would look bad if Obama pulled the money directly away from the low and middle-class Americans that work at these jobs, so instead he'll pull a fast one and take it from our workplaces. That's awesome, it's a good thing we're all too stupid to notice something like that.

That is, of course, you try to go for a raise at the end of this year and get denied because your boss honestly can't afford to pay you anymore. Or even better: the responsibilities of your job, and two others, are smashed together into a single position and the person that is willing to work for the lowest wages out of the three of you that used to fill those positions gets to keep his job. The other two? Sorry, try to find another job. Trouble is, there are no other jobs.

Why aren't there any other jobs? Every small business and corporation in your city, town, or whatever in between, is hurting just as bad. Make no mistake: this isn't going to just happen in Washington DC, or Los Angeles, or Wasilla. This is going to happen to that grocery store down the street from your house, to that freakin' amazing chinese restaurant that you and your buddies like to go to, or that dentist's office that your wife works at.

Anywho...McCain's Tax Plan: He wants to cut taxes for Middle-Class Americans. He wants to pass a 10% tax cut for businesses. I know a lot of people look at it and say "Well of course he wants to cut taxes for business, he's a Republican, that's what Republicans do." But think about it: that 10% becomes wealth that doesn't disappear into the gaping maw of the government. It's money that you'll see in the form of a raise, or a new job, or a renovation in your office. McCain wants to make it harder for the Congress to raise taxes again by requiring them to have a 3/5 majority vote. He wants to ban internet taxes, lower medicare premiums, stop pork-barrel spending, earmarks, and reform Social Security.

Look it all up on the two respective candidate's websites.

Hasn't it already been proven that the "Trickle Down" theory doesn't work? Why take the chance and repeat the same, useless process again?

She fired the chief of police because he was tazing his 10-year-old son...

The librarian was fired because she was inept...

You really need to look these things up.

If this is true, I'm glad that Gore didn't win the 2000 election with his son racking up DUI's like Michael Phelps winning Olympic Golds...

I didn't watch it when it aired, but that was good. I usually don't watch those when they air so that I can cut through the crap and get down to the point.

First, I distrust the biased mass media, that isn't where I got my information. Second, both people were fired with little reason, as their contracts stated they could. This is from her letter to the x-police chief Irl Stambaugh, "I do not feel I have your full support in my efforts to govern the city of Wasilla. Therefore I intend to terminate your employment." Also she fired both on the same day a year after taking office.

Lets not put her kids into this, she herself, is crazy enough.

Thanks, I probably was going too far with those statements and should have been clearer and instead directly attacked her stance on "abstinence-only" education (which research shows has failed) and increasing the scale of the war on drugs (which dramatically increases organized crime violence).

Now, assuming that you're gnawing on Palin's backside, I'm going to assume that you're a Democrat.

No, I can't stand Obama-Biden either; I am a moderate libertarian (I disagree with the Libertarian Party and the majority of libertarians about the extent of certain policies, especially anarchist libertarians) and distrust anyone who wants the power of public office. You could to make vague misconceptions but for ease of thinking call me a social liberal and economic conservative.

I very much agree with lowering taxes removing excess spending and making more of a free market. However, Republicans generally only decrease takes on the top 10% or so, when everyone should have lower taxes. I also think we should drastically reduce social security and Medicare, gradually making them smaller. and non-existent.

Hasn't it already been proven that the "Trickle Down" theory doesn't work? Why take the chance and repeat the same, useless process again?

The trickle-down theory as commonly stated "decrease taxes on the wealthy" is idiotic, however by decreasing everyone's taxes we give everyone a greater increase in money. Notice how the nations that have freer economies such as Luxembourg and the United States have high GDP and low wealth disparity (as a ratio).

Yeah, the lower taxes thing might help, but I think the whole "When the wealthy prosper, it will slowly accumulate to help the poor" idea is stupid.
