Democrats are portrayed as having "socialist" ideals and agendas; for example, there are plans to socialize the health care system. This, however, could be considered straw-manning Obama's stance on national health care (although I think socialized health care is a great idea, so I wouldn't call it straw-manning). As Alexis de Tocqueville and subsequent historians would argue, there are no such things at "brute facts" - i.e. everything has an interpretation. I have not lost my train of thought, but I promise I was going somewhere with this...
We probably can't get any definitive answers from her on the subject for a while, but it probably has something to do with stop thinking like a party and work like a country... just some odd phrasing, I suppose.
