yeah this is hard and being a male i think that would be kinda harsh... but i understand how this could happen i mean rape is mainly a show of power over some one so removing someones genitals might not do anything
We all do sexual things, tell me you adults don't you remember playing doctor and your first kiss in the playground we all do sexual things when we are kids without even knowing it, we are only human, it;s just when it's not with someone your age or without their consent, that's when it's not Ok, but it is perfectly natural to ummm... get umm horned... if you catch my drift I don't think they need to be castrated I think they need a counselor and enough time in jail to fix them.
Sorry for the double post but I have another thing to add, it's not necessarily "once a rapist always a rapist" situation but more of a if you are truly sorry for what you have done you take the initiative to get yourself help and deal with the punishment, the true "ervs" are the ones that do it over and over and over again and they live in suburbs and try to lure kids into their homes with candy.
Jail time? Ever hear the phrase 'University of Crime'? That's the name jails been given, convicts get no rehabilitation, they only learn more from other criminals.
Sorry for the double post but I just remembered something. It was what my commerce teacher told me. He said even if we increase the punishment for a crime, do you think it would stop people from committing crimes? No, and for a simple reason. (now bear with me, and think about this). No criminal ever calculates what punishment he/she will be sentenced to. The overall crime rate probably would go down slightly but not a significant amount. I know your first reaction might be something like "What the hell, that's not true, that's just stupid!" as was mine but I thought about it and it began to make sense. So give it some thought.
I don't believe that castration is the best choice for this matter. I personally believe that our jail system has become to easy and light for most felons. I would suggest that jail time be not just to sit in a small room but be forced labor, just like it used to be. Please don't give me the crap that 'it's not humane, they might die!" Honest, jokes aside, hard work never really killed anyone...well...sorta... Anyway, I just think that our jail system is too easy and we need to go up a notch on punishment, however, this idea is just plain ridiculous...no offense.
This doesn't seem to be the best option. How about making sentances fair? It doesn't seem right for a monster like a rapist to get only a few years while someone who leaves a dog in a car gets 25-life it just doesn't seem right...
Ye there are many dodgy bits in the legal system. My bros m8 who went to Feltham prison said there were tonsa people who were on 10 yrs for gettin in fights an paedos and sikos in there for only 2 yrs. Doesnt make sense 2 me.
Why should these convicted scum bags get MORE free stuff? Isn't it enough that people in jail get three meals a day and better health care than half of America? Now we are going to add on to the expense of keeping a prisoner by paying a professional to chop off their nuts? The prison system needs LESS funding and LESS coverage. Our jail system is too cozy as it is now. If you went out and performed some injustice to people in the community then why do you deserve to live in some four star establishment? Back to Alcatraz!
